Yes! FB has changed how they link you also. It's saying I may know H's former manager who lives and has always lived 4 states away. We have no contacts in common. It also brought up some random people that I greatly dislike but have no mutual friends/employment with. Oh, and it brought up a manager of mine that was only my manager for about 2 months before we were all laid off (except her). No mutual friends and I have never listed that company or any other employment on my FB. Kinda freaking me out.

I think it uses your email contacts to get that info.

I don't have my email on there, or if I do it's from a LONG time ago. I do have my phone number as a log in though. That's really scary if it's using my dialed and received calls or texts and searching out people. Damn NSA.
FB keeps suggesting I become friends with my brothers. And then it gives me a whole list of profiles with no pictures and I have no idea who they are. At least make an effort, facebook!
Am I imagining things or did you used to be able to "X" out of each suggested user until there were none left? And then they took that away, because Facebook actually hates its users.
Its more like people you may know and don't like. It feels awkward thinking about how they also probably see you on there and think the exact same thing.
I'm slowly packing up my FB, ready to leave. I get suggested people all the time. At first I thought it was through email contacts but then a bunch of people from here kept being suggested :/ All this anguish over anonymity and some random FB algorithm just throws your name out to people you don't even want to know.
Also the last couple of weeks, I've been getting requests from guys who live around here which is super freaky. I'm guessing this is from geo-tagging some of my photos and FB picked it up and is suggesting other people who are close-by?? So messed up.

Oh, man. Yeah. FB is my outlet/voice on things, but I am genuinely sick of it. Yet genuinely addicted.
It really is the only way family from abroad can see photos and interact on a regular basis. I'm trying to get into whatsapp but it's not good yet. Till then I have to work with FB's drunken matchmaking, lol. (wilted)
It is especially troublesome for people who are Facebook friends with some Nesties but do not want to be friends with other Nesties.
In those cases I guess you can block them, but have they already seen you/made the connection? That's why I'm friends with two nesties and that's it. It's like opening the floodgates.
Well, it's not too much of an issue for me, at least regarding my name.

Yes!! FB brings up people I know, but have no friends in common with, AND i have zero idea how FB knows I might know them. For instance, a teenage babysitter we used once or twice in a state we lived in 2 years ago. WTMF?

FB is doing some LinkedIn-style magic lately, I think. The other day it suggested my ex-bf of 7 years ago for the first time. We've both been on FB for years and have just one friend in common. Why him FB, why now??
