For real though, I agree with carylee07- high waisted shorts. Also destroyed denim shorts. We all know I love a good distressed denim but shorts that are ripped to shreds and are pretty much denim granny panties with a bunch of strings hanging down which are also worn with stilettos? No.
(Note that this is a pic from a very popular blogger with a public IG profile and over 70k followers, so I'm not sharing anyone's private photo without permission lol)
And, I will say that I am drawn to rompers/jumpsuits/pantsuits like a moth to a flame. But I just can't wrap my head around the bathroom issue. It's an engineering thing, not a style thing.
Oooh speaking of shorts I hate- the kind where the pockets hang out from under. Either self made or store bought, I just don't know of a time where I've ever said- man, I wish my pockets were showing!
Birkenstocks high waisted stuff Neon damn pants hanging around your ass. pull them up and put on a belt tramp stamps tattoos (damn skippy they are trendy right now) Anything one of those f'ing Kardashians wear Metallic heel on a shoe that doesn't match the rest of the shoe Overalls (both long and short) Acid washed anything Booties with skirts or dresses
I LOVE booties with skirts/dresses if styled right! Lol
By the time you realize you actually like a trend, pinterest/fashion blogs/etc have already made it so ubiquitous, you no longer want to partake in it. Early this year, I discovered Stela9 bags. It took me awhile to pull the trigger since they were so pricey. Eventually, I ordered one of the weekender bags, and by the time it came, I noticed these boho type bags EVERYWHERE---from Anthro to pinterest to F21. And you know, once it hits F21, trend might as well be over. I ended up giving it to my niece as a graduation present.
I think there should be another thread called- trends I like but would never do.
Bc I like the crop top/high waisted skirt look but that would highlight my worst problem area, so I would never ever do it. But if I had the abs, yes I would!
I can't jump on the Birkenstock trend either. But I didn't like them when they were big back in the day. Just not my style.

A friend and I were just discussing this! What's funny though is that in some cases, what's saturated in blog land does not match real life. I haven't see anyone wearing overalls or a tulle skirt in real life. But I'm in the Midwest so I'm sure this varies everywhere. Same thing with Birkenstocks - I see them on a different demographic than the trendy fashionista. (Aka my mother in law.)
Also- when the Target collabos come out, I'm always freaked that someone at work will have my exact piece because everything is everywhere. I know someone here brought this up already but I'm only remembering her real name not her screen name so I will just call her H--- that even though we may see Target collabo stuff everywhere on line, it doesn't necessarily translate into real life. And it's true. I have yet to see anyone in real life wearing something from the Target collabs.
Just interesting (and boo face) that something you liked actually went "mainstream"!
Lol at some of these. mryrcn Tramp stamp, check, tattoos, check, skirts with booties, check! Hahaha!
I like crop tops if they are styled right and I feel like they have a time and place for them. If I had the body for them I would certainly wear them. But likely while on vacation with H, not just to go to the grocery store or a nice dinner out. Or I would even wear a crop top in Vegas. Again, a time and a place for them.
ETA: I don't think I was clear in my first sentence. Some of these trends I already do/have. So I was saying I have a tramp stamp, I have tattoos and I wear skirts with booties. So clearly I am already a fashion don't to some of you. Lol

I love crop tops and I'm technically plus sized at a size 12. I think it looks cute if you wear a high-waisted a-line skirt and the crop top only shows a small sliver of skin.
I don't love:
overalls Birkenstocks Tribal print EVERYTHING Floral leggings worn as pants Canadian suits (denim on top and denim on bottom)

I used to be in this camp. But I love wearing a chambray with jeans here and there. They have to be different shades (very dark on top/bottom and light on the other).
Hi-low skirts/dresses. Neon. I'm fine with a pair of neon sneakers with black workout gear but that's it. Short shorts with the pockets hanging out. Hunters. I grew up on on a farm and don't get the deal with shiny gum boots.
I can't imagine how women pee when wearing rompers. Am I the only one that doesn't like the idea of stripping down nekked just to use the bathroom. Or maybe it's because I drink a lot and have a small bladder. That might be better suited to the confessions/flameful post, though.
