Doctor is still saying to wait. Ugh! He thinks the headache could still be from the fluid lost during the LP.
How long has it been since the procedure?
It was Wednesday at 3pm. He said normally they wait 5-7 days before a blood patch...!? The doctor actually just called back to say he put in a call to his neurologist to see what she thinks. 5-7 days seems like torture.

I had my lp on on a Friday and the blood patch on the following Tuesday. I would have been miserable waiting much longer than that!

He has a blood patch scheduled for Monday at 730am. They can't/won't do it earlier. Fuuuuck!
Does he feel okay if he's lying down? Can he take today off and lounge around this weekend? He might be ok if so (but OMG I'm so sorry for you. I'm sure it's just as hard in other ways to be on the other side of this!)

He does feel pretty much okay when lying down. He's definitely not working today and we do have the weekend free, so I guess he can just lay in bed all weekend. But, yea, this sucks. Thank you for acknowledging that it sucks for me too. I'm trying to be as helpful as possible but I'm going out of my mind. I need him back to normal.

Leo was only 5 months when I had mine, so I suppose my husband had it a little easier since the baby wasn't really mobile.
I'm sorry for all of you! Feel free to PM me with questions or to vent. Having medical issues sucks, but I'm sure having to be the "solo" parent while remaining empathetic is tough too. You're a good wife and mom and you WILL get through this weekend. On the bright side, the blood patch brought basically immediate relief, so he should be back to normal after that.

Neurologist called and explained why she really thinks we should try and wait it out. She said needing the blood patch is pretty rare and for most people it resolves on it's own. He can go to the ER if he really needs to, but there's no guarantee of how long that might take.

We are in the hospital now, he couldn't take the pain anymore so he came in this morning. I'm in his room but he's still in recovery. They might keep him overnight.

I'm glad he got treated! I hope this means he will be feeling better very soon! Do you have both girls with you?

No, just Ruby, thank goodness. Our nanny is with Violet. He has a private room at the hospital so Ruby and I are just hanging out in here.

I'm so glad you went. I'm still mad at his neurologist. I hope he improves quickly.

B told us to leave and go for a walk to Janie and Jack because Ruby is being restless. He threw cash at me and said he won't know the price of what I buy if it's in cash.
I'm glad you guys went to the hospital and your H is feeling better, we do blood patches @ our clinic and the people that come on are in pure agony-FX for quick healing
