1. What books does your H enjoy reading to your LO? H doesn't want to read the books she likes me to read because "he can't do the voices."
2. How do you "properly" clean your LO's ears?
3. If you didn't pierce ears at infancy and you eventually did or plan to, when did you do it? H didn't want to get E's ears pierced at birth so I let it go. Now he wants to, but I think this is a terrible age because she will constantly pull at them. I don't know if I should do it now or wait a couple of years.
1) DH loves "But not the Hippopotamus" (not so much for the voices though).
When did you move from 4 oz. bottles to bigger ones? Is it better for a BF baby to just eat more often or eat bigger bottles? He usually only drinks 2-4 oz at a time, but sometimes he'll take 5-6 at my in laws' (M/F care).
Do you let your babies crawl on hardwood floors? If yes, does it matter if their knees are covered or not (more slippery, OTOH more padding).
If your baby is BF'ed, it's unlikely you will EVER move to bigger bottles unless if you have an oversupply. Your body does not produce more milk as your LO grows; the nutritional content of your milk changes to meet your growing baby's needs. If your LO is taking double the milk while at daycare or away from you it's most likely because he is comfort eating.
And yes, we always let DS crawl on the hardwoods with no knee coverings. The slipping was too frustrating with him, and he had plenty of natural padding (aka baby fat!) for crawling.
I don't agree with this, I may have had a small over supply, but nothing crazy. He went from taking 3oz bottles at daycare (9weeks old) to progressing all the way to 6oz bottles (by around 7 months old). He still takes 2 - 6 oz sippy cups of bm daily at daycare (he is there 7.5 hours).

I can't remember if you BF or FF. The answer will be different based on that and if you feed on demand or a schedule/routine.
I've always used 8oz bottles because that's what we had. We feed on a 3 hour routine, so he gets 5oz each time. He hardly acts hungry before 3 hours at that oz. I would go crazy if I had to make a bottle sooner than every 3 hours.
Does anyone have advice on bottle feeding while traveling and staying in a hotel? I dropped the ball and didn't try out the drop ins with DS before we leave tomorrow morning. My crappy plan is to take 6-7 bottles and just wash them in the hotel sink each night. Blah. Any tips that could help would be appreciated.
Thanks for the answers y'all. I didn't realize, but the day he drank more was a freezer milk day - so the nutritional content probably wasn't up to par to his current needs. I'll stick to 4 oz. bottles for now and see if he ups it.
I think this may be a baby-specific thing. My CW's baby was EBF and he was downing a crazy amount of BM at daycare (like 8-10 oz at a time).

Will you have access to a microwave? You can buy the Medela quick steam bags at Target. I think it would be ok to wash the bottles in soapy water and then sanitize them in the bag?
