I just got my June 401(k) statement. Not counting my little 401(k) from my first job, I have more in my retirement account than my base salary plus bonuses!
I passed base salary alone last quarter. Now I feel like an actual MM adult. I don't care that I'm 18 months past have your salary in retirement by 30. I'm still happy. Plus all of this 401(k) is from the last 4 years. I'm so proud of getting caught up.
Awesome work! 4 years is an amazing accomplishment!
Thanks! I am stupidly lucky to have a great profit sharing plan and match. My company matches up to 3.6% (well 60% of thd first 6% you defer) and then has done 10% of cash comp as profit sharing on top of that every year I've been here. There is no way I could have done it without them and I appreciate it more than they know.
Congrats! Doing that in four years is amazing! I checked my balances today and I am $1,300 away from $100K. I will be soooo excited when it finally hits that number. I know I should probably have more, but it's more than my salary, so I consider it a win.
