I have a golden retriever and she is ten months old. She is chewing everything up in my house. Last night it was the pillow on the couch. She has a dozen chew toys and she gets a lot of play time outside also. Today she chewed through a thick rubber key on her key ring. also bought her a tuffy toy that is suppose to last awhile and it only lasted an hour. It takes her not even two hours to devour a rawhide bone. Any suggestions you have would be awesome. I posted pictures of the toys and Tessa herself
Eta: thanks everyone for the ideas. Will be buying an antler tomorrow and some of the toys suggested. Also the puppy pictures are adorable: )
I have half a golden retriever (lol) and he's a HUGE chewer. He's almost 18 months old, so a bit older than your cutie, but he destroys toys like it's his job.
Make sure your pup is getting lots and lots of exercise, because he could be taking using his energy for chewing.
How long did you try? Maddie chewed for about 6-7 months. I put her in her play pen with teething toys a looottt. Eventually she grew out of it. She doesn't chew random stuff now but any new chewing toy gets destroyed in five minutes or less. It's an uphill battle for sure.

Those pictures brought so many bad chewing phase memories
In addition to longer walks, I used a treat dispensing toy for feeding times and doggy daycare. We don't have pillows of our couch for this reason. No matter how well exercised they are, very rarely it still happens. We get a rainy day and one of them gets bored and bam! Lost your favorite pillow Hang in there! It really gets better. My goldens are 3 yrs old now and they are still a little crazy.

No rawhides they can cause obstructions. Also, no stuffed toys or rope type toys. We have a heavy chewer and I really liked the black kong when he was a puppy. You can stuff it with peanut butter or whatever and freeze it. That lasts a while. Antlers are great too. I have heard some concern about their teeth though for us it is better than an obstruction.
Also, I'm a big advocate for doggy daycare. Sheldon comes home so tired that he sleeps from the minute we get home until the next morning when we have to drag his butt out of bed to do it all over again. lol!
West Paw Designs! The only thing my terriers can't get through, INCLUDING the kongs. Nylabone dinosaurs are great too, but they do get through them, so I don't leave them out with the dogs unsupervised. West Paw toys I feel perfectly safe leaving in their kennels all day. Over a year and not so much as a bite mark!
My pup is 7 months and I am constantly going thru toys as well. I try to keep a bunch of kongs around, tennis balls, soccer balls, nyla bones, and tuff toys. She doesn't really chew the soccer ball or tennis balls but they give her "work" to do. She will carry the tennis ball around in her mouth and chase the soccer ball and this will keep her busy and distract her from chewing.

I'm going to try the antlers, everyone is suggesting them. I will stop the ones you mention, I don't want a vet visit for that. Thank you!
Awww! Pel likes the penis a little too much, so we stopped giving them. I don't like growly Peloton.
He likes the penis so much he growls? lollll
Sheldon prances around the house with his in his mouth and a huge grin on his face, and has to search for the perfect penis chewing spot. It's hilarious.
