Because I was at kickboxing today and we were doing jumping roadhouse kicks. One of the other girls there was like "WOW! You have amazing kicks. I'm so impressed but I would hate to be at the receiving end of that!"
Today was one of my first runs in a long time during which the heat didnt nearly kill me. Not at it was fast, but i did it, without stopping to cool off. Either im acclimating, or it was cooler out.
I ran a super easy recovery run and promised myself that I wouldn't look at my garmin until after I was finished. It ended up being 8:25 pace.
I also promised myself that I wouldn't eat ice cream tonight, and so far, I haven't caved. I call that a win after eating all the things all week long.

I ran a 5k with my sister tonight. She came in 2nd. I got another sub-30 min 5k. We ran as a sister team and placed 2nd. Sadly they don't have us recorded as a sister team so I had to email the race director about it.
I did my regular Thursday group ride. Half way through, it started pouring. We got dumped on for about 9 miles. Going around one of the parks, the road was like riding upstream in a river (we climb a hill there). Afterwards we were rewarded with a rainbow!
My PT referred me to a pelvic floor specialist for the injury I initially thought was a groin pull. In her words, the specialist would 'get all up in there' , but she felt strongly that it would help me. So I have that to look forward to. Winning!
I "won" a benchmark workout for the girls on my side of the gym. It was 25 reps clean @77% 1RM. This is the first time I've ever been not last over there.
Side note: Why the heck can't we get more girls to join the advanced class!? I'm tired of being at the bottom lol.

I ran my longest run to date (a measly 3.3 miles) since getting sick in May and I didn't feel like I was going to die. Well I did at the beginning so I told myself I would run for 10 minutes and if it still stunk I would stop and just walked, but once everyone loosened up I got in the grove. I'm shooting for 4 miles today!

It made my day.
Anything else to share?
HIgh5! I love jumping kicks, I've always had really powerful kicks.
I created a term "PregRX" at my box, which is my own scaled weights/exercises for the WoD. That's my AW, I created a term.
I cycled the longest I have ever cycled in a day this week. 45.5 miles. Plus a 3 mile run. And up a massive hill. Then I ran 4.5 miles in the heat today after drinking a lot of almond milk and red bull. That was not so smart. But yay for long cycle!!

I ran 4.3 miles today....my longest run to date! My plan was to run 20 minutes and walk 1 minute and repeat 3 times, but I only walked after the first 20 minute run and then ran thru to the end. I'm still kind of in shock that I was able to do it. I had run yesterday so I took it slow since I know my legs were tired and I'm not used to running back to back.
I already did an AW, but I have another one. I did my long run tonight (Friday) after work. I have to work all weekend so it was really my only option, and not entirely ideal. It is my longest long run since my marathon last October. It rained the whole time, I was mentally tired from work, and I was afraid I would bonk since I finished around 7pm (past my usual dinner time). So I wasn't too optimistic.
Well, I freaking rocked the shit out of it. I kept up a really good pace and felt strong the entire way. I haven't had a really fantastic long run in weeks. And now I have it out of the way and don't have to worry about it all weekend. YAY!

What a difference good weather makes! I'd nearly fallen off the running bandwagon but we've been down outside of São Paulo , brazil, for the last week and the weather has been absolutely perfect (59 degrees and sunny today when I left the apartment this morning). I've gotten in some good 3-4 mi runs around the park by my in-laws'. Today I hit 6mi! Woot!

Between my last triathlon and the one I did today, I cut 30 seconds off my T1 time, a minute off my T2 time and was .5 mph faster on the bike, despite it being 50+% longer. This was a really nice race today.
it turns out you're only supposed to use "swim mode" on the Garmin 310xt if you wear it on your wrist. If you put it in your cap with swim mode on, the distances are a pack of lies. Eyeballing the map, what the Garmin thinks is 0.10 mile is more like 0.17 or 0.18 mi.
So my AW is that my ass-slow OWS times were just wrong, and I think I'll be at something in the 15-19:00 or even faster for the swim. That's still a big range, I need to get one more OWS in to see where I am! Also it means that my OWS endurance is almost already where it needs to be for the Oly tri in September!
