Headed to bed soon here. Have to work tonight. I'm reading a really good book that I just started, Deathless by Catherynne Valente. If you like fairy-tale-esque stuff, I would highly recommend it.
I've also been reading a series of books called Shadow Unit, which are pretty much Criminal Minds fanfic, only with a sci-fi twist and they're written by a group of actual writers who are all published authors in their own right, chief among them Emma Bull and Will Shetterly. (And they outright admit that it's basically fanfic, which is part of what makes it so much fun.)
Was hoping to go to Cinci for the gtg, but sticking close to home. Mom's having issues from chemo/radiation, so I'll be going to her house today to clean, do laundry, and grocery shop for her. Might get her lawn mowed too.
Them I'll be coming home and doing the same at my house. Or drinking.

I officially had my last day of class at Oxford yesterday (followed by a class party out in Oxford). I'm going to have a graduate degree from Oxford. Holy shit. All I need to do is write my dissertation (and pass it) within the next six weeks and I'm done. Wahoo!
H got up early to go finish a job he's working on so naturally I'm up too. E is still asleep but I'm expecting him to wake up any minute so it's not worth laying back down to nap. Ugh. I'm so tired.
MIL flies in today and I am having major anxiety over it. She was not pleased we moved out here and I feel like the position were in now (w H being laid off and such) is going to bring out the 'I told you so!' Plus, she's a major hose beast and I can't stand her. Ughhhhh
I plan on guilting H into a nap before he leaves to pick up his mom. #sorrynotsorry

I WANTED to sleep in, but Lucy woke up crazy early (for her) so it's 7am and am wide awake. She, on the other hand, fell back to sleep. We have a graduation party later today.
My aunt was taken to the hospital last night, and I'm really worried about her. She lives alone about an hour away, I don't even know which hospital they might've taken her to. Her neighbor called my mom, and my mom didn't think to ask??
DH should hopefully be done sanding the steps and getting ready to stain and seal the floors. Hopefully!
Andy and I are going grocery shopping, then all of us to MILs for lunch and andys birthday presents, and then a quiet night at home. I'm making steak and steamers for dinner.
It is raining right now, but hopefully clears up soon so we can go to the farmer's market. I hate going down there after 8 am because it is too busy.
Also I need to do a long run. Ugh, I am not ready for my race in a couple weeks and I am kicking myself for signing up for the stupid thing. Why does it have to be 7 miles. WHY
We are doing pizzas on the grill tonight.
I am happy becauseI got my groceries taken care of yesterday so I am done for major errands.

It's still driving me crazy with the user name vs screen name. Some I know who it is, but others I'm like I know I should know but don't.
My migraine won't go away. One of my 4 year olds wants to go yard saling (?). I don't want to have to drive but I told her yesterday we'd do it. I foolishly assumed I'd feel better. Meds are good I guess :/
I'm a bit gassy. I've not ever in front of dh in 15 years. I fear today may change all of that
DS has woken up early the last two days. Ugh. I'm going to make H get up with him tomorrow, no matter what time H goes to sleep. Because I will be on early baby duty for the next four days. I just know DS will sleep in tomorrow, and then be back to early mornings during the week.
Nothing fun for me this weekend. Work today, grocery shopping tomorrow. Maybe a haircut tomorrow if I can find a stylist open on a Sunday.
Going to barre class, possibly a yoga class (venice2007), getting my nails done, and then date night tonight for our anniversary!
How's barre? I noticed a studio here in my city recently. I have injuries from a car accident. I can do gentle stretch type yoga and walks. Is barre super intense or more stretching?

I LOVE it. It's easy on the knees and joints. Using your on body weight in isometric holds to strengthen. I would recommend trying it out!

I really want to do a barre class, but there aren't any up here in northeast philly. I'd have to go down to the trendier neighborhoods to go, ugh. We just got a yoga studio like two years ago!
Lucy's up again, for no real reason. Tomorrow we usually go to Mass at 10 and I have to drag her from bed, kicking and screaming. Kids!

Thanks! I think I'll look into a beginners class or something.

DM me what town she lives in and I can probably figure it out. Sorry to hear about your aunt
My mom just called again, she's at some virtua campus. They think she's in congestive heart failure but is feeling a bit better since she's been treated.
H got up at 5:30am to take our dogs to MILs house (she's watching them for the weekend). He had to be to class by 8am (MIL lives almost 45min away). Em and I were up around 8am and in about 30min I'm taking her to my mom's for the weekend.
THEN I have to get home, pick up the house a bit and wait for H to get home. We're going to a concert tonight! Weeeee!!!
We're staying the night and will have a fun day tomorrow.
socratic DS wore the same shirt yesterday! I think your LO wore it better. LOL.
Today, I have to have an argument with Sears, because they collected $41 for a permit that we didn't need when we bought our dishwasher, then sent an installer to our house who demanded an ADDITIONAL $40 because "he's a licensed plumber and Sears isn't paying him what it costs to send a licensed plumber to our municipality." WTF?
Then we are taking our foster kitties to an adoption event. Fingers crossed that they all find homes!
Mini vent: When someone tells you what is easiest for them, believe them.
I offered to pick up some snacks for this camp my church does. Now I'm supposed to pick up all the snacks (60 kids, 10 snack times each). One of the other women is insisting on coming with me to shop for them for *my sake*.
I offered because going up to Costco at some point during the week and loading some boxes in the car is an easy task. What isn't an easy task is wrangling my three year old and baby to be cooperative at a specific prescheduled time with a stranger who probably doesn't want to chat with every sample vendor, visit the model play house three times, nor return to the car for a last minute nursing session if the baby happens to need to eat at some point during the preordained window.

I had to bring my cat in for an u/s this morning and I had them clip his claws while we were there. I don't mind paying extra for it, and he hates having it done so I'd rather not be associated with it. Plus, he has four double paws and 28 claws and it's a freaking pita to do. Since I've stopped letting them go out all the cats' claws are out of control. Oh, and his bladder is pristine. Yay, $1.50 cans of cat food!

My step-son is here for the week. Today we are going to the zoo. Tomorrow a train/boat/hike combo to a "famous" castle. I haven't done this trip since I was like 10. I'm excited to go.
