I went to a wedding on 07/07/07 as a plus one. It was at the Beverley Hills Hotel or whatever its called (fancy place). The ceremony was at 11.30am and the reception ended at 3pm because there was another wedding, coming in. It was the only time the couple could get that venue on that date. It was weird.
I got married on 10/2/10, and there were a tooooonnnnn of 10/10/10 weddings, but it was a Thursday. That's some weird commitment.
10/10/10 was a Sunday! I only remember that because I ran my first, last, and only marathon that day. Ugh, what was I thinking.
I fell down a pinterest hole of trying to figure out E's 2nd bday. Yes, 10 months early.
I was originally thinking "you are my sunshine" b/c that's the song we sing before nap/bed (not the bad verses though!). But with Disney the week after her bday I'm wondering if I should do a minnie mouse theme to go along with the trip?

DS1 and I are visiting my BFF and her H and 1 year old this weekend out of state. They have original Nintendo! So now the the kids are in bed we are drinking and playing Super Mario Bros. good times!
10 hour drive back home with a 3.5 year old tomorrow! Whhheeeeeee!!!!
We had a fun day! My sister kept N overnight, so DH & I went out for a much needed date night last night. After I picked him up and we had lunch, we took a little road trip to the beach. N had a blast playing in the lake and sand.
We got home around 9. I put N to bed, and DH went out with a friend, so I am playing on the computer at watching Revenge.
Sudden major water leakage from pipes in our our 2nd floor bathroom down to the 1st floor. The plumbers couldn't find the source of the leak at first, so they had to chip off pieces of the ceiling to get to the mainline. They fixed the pipe, but all other work (electric, carpets, ceiling patching, etc.) can't be completed until after the weekend.
That happened to my parents my senior year of HS. Woke up one morning and it was literally raining from the second floor bathroom. My dad had just had knee surgery earlier that week and I was leaving to go visit camp friends for the long weekend. ( Presidents' Day). It was awful and I wasn't even there for most of it. Hope everything is resolved quickly.
In about 16 hours I will no longer be solo parenting. It's hard for me to get DH to understand. I'm not saying I don't love DS or anything against him- he's amazing. But doing everything on your own all week long is absolutely exhausting. Then throw in all of the "challenges" life has thrown at us this week (including DH getting a speeding ticket today) and it's just been a lot, not to mention expensive. (Busted tire in a tiny remote town and now a speeding ticket in another state which DH can't contest so it'll probably affect our insurance rates). I need something really great to happen soon, please!!
We are traveling home and DH with his eagle eyes saw a rollover happen going the other way on the turnpike. It freaked him out, but I didn't see it. His amazing eyes are the reason he drives. I hope they are ok, we called 911.
Two more hours till we get home. I wish our car had a bigger gas tank, stopping wakes DS and we have to feed him.
I was poking around in J's mouth and discovered that he apparently cut a tooth! There is a tiny little peak poking though. Must be why he was such an ass on Wednesday.
H and I started watching OITNB. We should be in bed... Damn good tv shows!

DD has been crying for nearly 45 minutes. We have no idea what's wrong with her. She won't take a pacifier. She farted a few times and burped once but continues to cry. She'll stop for a few minutes and then start up again. She has her eyes mostly closed while crying. She hasn't done this since she was a couple weeks old.
And of course it happens the night before DH leaves for 4 nights. FML.

Up again, screaming. She was pulling her legs in pretty aggressively so I'm thinking it was gas. Gave her some gas drops and she called down in a minute. Hoping that keeps her asleep for another two hours at least!
