This nesting thing is hard work! I have to rest like every 20-30 minutes so I'm only getting things done a little at a time, which is super frustrating. I want to get everything done ASAP and I just physically can't. I feel like I have so much to do still to get ready and so little time (I scheduled an induction for Thursday).
Anyone else nesting? How are you handling it physically?
Definitely nesting. For me, it's more like nagging my H to do the things I can't in the nursery. Yesterday I washed loads of baby clothes though and organized all her little things in her drawers. I'm debating whether to put together the swing and some other things while I still have some energy, but I feel like it's still way too early.

I think I'm missing the nesting instinct. Although I was weirdly obsessed with the lawn this year. I should be getting stuff ready for my c/s tomorrow, but I'm on here instead.

Good luck tomorrow! I never really nested with DS1 so this is new to me. I was prepared and all, but I didn't get this "OMG must have the house immaculate" urge.
I'm right with you & all the resting. The things I've cleaned over the past couple months crack me up. I had DH move the fridge so I could clean behind it. All the kitchen cupboards have been cleaned & organized. I got rid of 2 garbage bags of clothes.
Our goal for today is to organize all the tv cords. DH painted the kitchen & bathroom trim yesterday, fixed a rocking chair, and started retiling a bar area in the family room.
I've done a lot in her room, including dusting everything - the fan, baseboards, doors, blinds - vacuuming every inch, washing all bedding (this was our son's gender neutral nursery), washing and ironing the curtains, and I still have more I want to do.
I still have a lot to do around the house. I'd like to clean and dust our room since she'll be sleeping in there for a while, dust all the fans, put together the bouncer etc, clean the stroller and car seat... Man, I'm tired just looking at that list!
I also need to put together a hospital bag. I think having scheduled a c-section I feel like I won't go into labor, but I obviously still can!
I bought a bag of ripe bananas for $1, and they were banana bread ripe, so instead of throwing them away (two bunches) I decide to just now make three loaves of banana bread. I didn't have butter, so I found three different recipes that didn't contain butter. Thought we could have a taste test. Glad I didn't waste that dollar!!
And, all of that bread was on top of the fact I just spent four hours at church getting ready for VBS tomorrow, that I'm partially leading!!

Thank God I'm not the only one!! I'm obsessed with getting the furniture painted, but just so we can KINDA put the room together. I habe no urge to clean/do anything. If literally anything in my home is even vaguely clean (with the exception of a dish here and there), it's because my husband did it.
Blech I hate nesting instincts! Makes me feel like my house is a disaster and I can never clean enough. Hoping to chip away at the list enough this month to avoid too much to do next month.
My way of nesting is just to buy lots of cleaning products. No actual cleaning (above the usual), just major stocking up on toilet bowl cleaner and Clorox wipes.
I have the energy of the nesting instinct, but can't actually do anything. I tried to do some stuff on Thursday and ended up having contractions on Thursday night and was on pain killers on Friday. I can't stand or walk for more than 10 minutes so I am basically buggered. Today I made some baby laundry piles for DH to put in the washing machine, but I can't actually bend down to put the laundry in the machine or take it out or hang it up.
i'm definitely not in a 'everything must be clean' nesting mode, but a 'check things off the list' mode. i really tackled freezer meals and made them my bitch. we've got over 50 meals in the freezer now ready to go. this week i'm doing a little bit more every day - cookie dough, scones, muffins, etc. but i have yet to clean my bathroom, ha. maybe tomorrow??

What did you make? I should do this, but could use some inspiration.
H and I are both nesting...it is weird we both keep having the need to do things/clean. Luckily when it is something I want to do H is supportive and often does the work for me. Helps me be more productive.

This is amazing and way more useful than a clean bathroom. I wish I could find the energy to tackle freezer meals.
