I know this has been done before but humor me and do it again. I want to find a kitchen I like and set a price alert on camelcamelcamel. DD's birthday isn't until the week after Christmas so whether she gets it for Christmas or her birthday I have time.
I don't want anything with bright primary colors and I'm pretty sure I'm leaning away from the cheap plastic ones.

We have one of the Step2 plastic ones. It's not too expensive. It's easy to clean. It has buttons on the microwave that make a beeping sound and buttons on the burner that make a boiling or sizzling sound when the appropriate pan is placed on it -- my DS loves to put things in the microwave and push the buttons.
I really wanted a beautiful Pottery Barn one when she got older, but for her birthday she got a Little Tikes Cupcake Kitchen. She adores that thing. It is the only thing that keeps her attention longer than a minute.
We also have the Kid Kraft Uptown Espresso kitchen. I love it because my dd is tall (90th percentile) and doesn't have to crouch down to use it. She will be able to use it for a few more years I am sure. It is nicer than my kitchen, truth be told:) I bought it from Wal-Mart.com because they had the best price.
