Oh my goodness, I'm hitting the wall today ladies. I've been so calm throughout the whole process, and now I'm freaking.
The wedding is 9 days out and I've apparently now decided I am not happy with my hair and makeup trial. I want something completely different (but now its too late, and completely out of the budget - of course!) which really, was what I wanted in the first place, but I talked myself out of because of the cost of extensions. I'm trying to be happy with an alternate solution to my first trial. I don't have the pic here, but it would be a take on a low, side bun-thingy... Ugh. I'm worried I'm going to HATE my pictures.
Somebody smack me. I'm irritating myself.
Ok, sorry. End rant, just needed to get that out. Carry on.

Personally, I'm all about being who you really are on the biggest, most photographed day of your life. On this day, you were on a budget and have [fill in the blank] hair. Don't try to make it something you saw on pinterest.
Maybe there will be something about your photos that you won't like, but you will have so many to choose from, I'm sure you can find some you like. And eventually, you will look back on your wedding day for the celebration that it is, not for how your hair was or what bothered you about your pictures.
Years from now, I think you'll be happy that you looked like yourself on your wedding day. I am not the most photogenic person, so I had the same fear about hating the pictures. But there is a good reason that some people do that for a living - they are good at making people look their best!
And that is really the best thing to do right now - trust the professionals you hired and let them do their jobs. Nothing wrong with checking in and finalizing details, but don't stress yourself out if you don't need to.

Hey Sapph,
Thanks for the perspective. I think that is actually my problem. I don't look like me in the trial photos. I think that's what set me off. I was worried I would hate my hair in the wedding photos too. (Not the photos overall, I trust my photog, she's great)
I usually wear my hair down, and everyone likes my hair down (incl me). But in the trial, my hair was up and really elaborate (I wasn't clear enough, it was simple in the front, and he didn't show me the back until the end. Stupid. I have learned).
Anyway, the thing is, I'm getting married in the heat/humidity of July. My hair is very fine and doesn't hold a style well at all (straight) its also kind of flat, so was worried about down with humidity/sweat. Hence the updo.

Anyway... I may just have to suck it up!
Sorry you are stressing, but I do think it's normal pre-wedding jitters and you can shake it off! I was in the same boat as you (fine, straight hair during the hottest month of the year), and while I did like the other styles with the hair down better, I ended up with an up-do mostly to ensure the hair stayed put and wouldn't fall flat. It ended up being a good choice for me, minus pulling out 500 bobby pins at the end of the night.
Go with your gut and talk with your stylist about making some adjustments if you can't get it off your mind and I'm sure they will work with you to get you exactly what you want within your budget. Best of luck, this is such an exciting (but often stressful) time and I'm sure things are more under control than you imagine right now. It's easy to get obsessed with all the details, but try and take some moments to relax, breathe, and enjoy the anticipation as much as you can!!

Yep...I'm in the same boat with both of you. Fine, straight hair. Mine is thin on top of that. I also wore my hair in an updo, but it was a pretty simple one. Like OPS said, talk to the stylist and see if they can simplify the back for you. And like I said before: be yourself. And do what's necessary to make you feel the most gorgeous all day. If you're lugging around extra weight in extensions and worrying about your hair going flat, you won't feel gorgeous.
It will all come together in the end. And if something doesn't go quite right, it'll make for a good story years down the road.

Oh my goodness you ladies are amazing. Thank you OPS and Sapph for the advice re: hair. I know its probably the right choice, given the circumstances, probably the style needs need major tweaking. Hopefully my stylist and I can come up with something.
Anyway, again, truly appreciated, especially since I haven't been around these parts much these days. Far less time on my hands, but about to become very un-busy in a few more weeks.
