So I don't expect B to walk anytime soon - he's pulling up, but not cruising, so I feel like he has a while before he gets to that point.
I know common advice now is either no shoes or very soft, Robeez-like shoes...but when do they need for-real shoes? When he starts thinking about walking? When he's walking reliably? He'll need some support eventually, right? We have some Robeez and similar (which he pretty much never wears anyway), but I'm wondering when I should get him measured and pick up something more like a SKR or other more stable shoe.
We just got DD her first shoes. She's cruising and close to walking, so daycare requested that we send in shoes so she can play outside with the other older infants in her class. We ended up just going to a local consignment store and picked up several pairs (since we didn't know her size and they were super cheap). Her teachers just said to get flexible shoes, since the blockier ones just trip them up. I don't think they usually need a whole lot of support, it's more about protecting their feet from pointy things.
