When do babies/toddlers go from 2 to 1 naps during the day?
Dd2 loves her sleep. At home would sleep 3hrs in naps if we let her (it doesn't affect nightime sleep). She's 9.5mths.
The last 2 days in crèche she has only taken one nap from around noon for 90 mins. Normally goes down around 10.30/11 for an hour plus and then 2.30 for another hour. They put her down at the normal time but she just lay there looking around rather than go to sleep so they picked her up again.

DD dropped hers around 9-10 months. And it was a quick transition for her, pretty much exactly what you describe. One day she was sleepy at both nap times, the next day, she wanted nothing to do with a morning nap.

Leo is 12 months and still going strong with two naps. Every once in a while he skips the afternoon one, but for the most part he naps 9:30-11:30 and 3:30-5.
Right at a year for DD. DS at 5 months already does it 4 days out of 7. He prefers a 4 hour nap between 11 and 3 these days for some reason. Which I'm okay with I guess. The kid struggles to fall asleep as it is, so I'm not fighting when he actually does it.
I think we transitioned to one nap when all girls moved up to the Toddler room at daycare, which was around 15-18 months. They all still did two naps at home on the weekends before that.
And, lol, love the STM amnesia. I had it for both DD2 & DD3, for the life of me I couldn't remember what I had done for DD1 for a lot of things, it was quite hazey, ha!

DS1 was around 18 months
DS2 was younger than that, maybe around 14 months?
DS3 is 14 months now and still takes 2 naps most days, but can be okay with just one. We go on vacation next week, so I anticipate that he will only get one nap most of those days and I kinda plan on continuing that when we get home. It's been hard to do anything with the older boys this summer when we constantly need to be home for naps (my kids were never good on-the-go mappers).
15 months, did it on his own which worked out with the transition to the toddler room. At his 15 month appt, the pediatrician made it sound like we should be encouraging two naps on the weekends if he needed it.
Thanks everyone. Seems like the concensus is "more than 9 months"!
Dd1 was always rubbish at napping if there were others around so at the child minder (11-18 months old) and crèche (toddler room from 18mths) we were lucky if she sleep an hour a day. But I can't remember if she started with 2 naps at the minders! But at weekends she would nap for 3hrs each day as if to catch up. Did that until just over 2yrs when she gave up on naps.
Whilst it would be nice to be less tied to the nap I don't think any of us are ready for the lack of a break during the day!! She took 2 naps in crèche today even though they were a bit shorter than normal.
DD is 15 months and takes 1 nap at daycare and 2 short naps with us on the weekend. Daycare has the magic touch...not only does she go down without a fight but she'll take a good 2-3 hour nap for them.
