Money quote is just before the end at 28:27 - "We take great pride in the intense relationship we are able to build with consumers, and able to translate into a platform for our advertisers." (It was in response to a question about why their traffic was growing but revenues were not)

They apparently have some big initiative to be the source for western wedding info in China.

There were about three references to "technical issues" with various parts of the site--not specifically the boards, but with their e-commerce and registry sites. LOL.

They talk a lot about the knot (wedding advertisers) and the bump (baby advertisers). To the extent that I think the only reason the nest exists is to make sure people make the jump from TK to TB.

Totally. I was just thinking this morning how smart that set up was. How long did we all stick around there? I was there for seven years (of course, I never once linked on an ad, but you know, theoretically I could have.)


Wow. Seven years is embarrassingly long.

I agree, and now they have lost a whole generation of nesties who could have jumped over to the bump. If knotties do end up going to the nest, it's probably on average another 3-5 years (at a minimum) before most of them would move over to the bump.
