I have to learn to deal with this.
We are doing a little of BLW and purees (although D seems to hate eating purees from me, but is ok with daycare), but food gets everywhere. He doesn't really use a spoon...we got this spoon-squeeze thingy, but it ends up everywhere.
This is one of the hardest things for me being a mom (weirdo, party of 1).
We have two dogs and I still don't like how messy it is! At first,I thought I'd have to give him a bath every time he ate. It did get better, but still messy!

Yeah, we just started yesterday and the brand new high chair, which is supposed to be easy to clean, already has stained straps. I was mentally prepared for it to be messy but I thought I'd be able to clean it up better. I remember being about 10 and my mom saying babies in high chairs was her least favorite stage - that always stuck with me.

Do you have an ikea near by? They sell long sleeve bibs with pockets that are great. Contains the mess and are machine washable. We're still using these at 2 1/2.

Yes! How do you avoid not bathing each time? He gets so gross and his chair, gawd!
