Yesterday while outside with A I saw a dead baby bird in the grass. So I keep her on the deck and then a few minutes later there is all this commotion, dogs going nuts, birds flying and squawking all about. I thought the dogs had gotten one, but they were just playing with a ball, a few feet away from another bird, this one still alive. I turned it over to see if it was injured but it didn't move. It opened its eye and then died soon after. I had to convince A it was sleeping.
Just now Ru found another baby on the ground. This one is alive and on its feet, but wtf? Mom and dad robin are going apeshit in the tree above. On the other side of the yard, so probably not the same nest/parents.
Tl, dr = why are birds killing themselves in my yard and wtf do I do with the live one?
They are doing this on my walk to work which is also the same route I take to Yoga. Every day I walk and it's like a dead bird massacre. It's freaking me out. I realized that they are nesting in the building and are trying to fly and fail. It's horrid. Especially since I see it multiple times per day!
Last Thursday my H found a hurt one on our walk back from class, picked it up and carried it to the park across the street. I hope it survived.

I'm going to have to go with burn it to the ground. Best case scenario: only your tree is possessed. Worst case: your house was built on an ancient burial ground and everything is cursed. Sorry.
