Also I have high hopes that wearing a backpack with stuff in it will wear C out, kind of like those hiking vests for dogs.

I make my kid carry everything. I just let her pick out the backpack. Win win situation for both of us. (not a leash backpack, but if I did use one I'd make her carry everything in it too!)

I totally put stuff in the skip hop ladybug lease backpack.

We don't have leash backpack. But MIL did get them each a mini hiking backpack from REI. She takes them and the dig to the lake once a week and hikes around with them. They wear them filled with a snack, water bottle and change of clothes.

Seems fair to me since she used the wear them in a baby carrier and do the same hikes when they were infants.

@starry, I do this (also with the ladybug!). Sippy, snack, and toy/crayola fun pack. I was planning to use it for our FL trip for change of clothes/shoes probably.

I am just posting in this thread to say I left my wallet in my Ergo fanny pack last night and didn't realize until I was at work. Babies ruin everything. :-(
