When to see a financial advisor?

My H and I saw a financial adviser right after getting married. I'm not sure what you mean by "tied to your retirement." He manages our retirement accounts.

I have an organization through work who manages my retirement investment accounts.  I'm not sure if we should use that organization or a different one.

Ahh, okay. I'd see a different one. My 5-person company wouldn't even know if/where I had a retirement account.
