I love looking at wedding dresses. @moonbeam did yours have sleeves, or is that shape from the veil? It's gorgeous!
Everyone looks so pretty! Such beautiful dresses!
I had sleeves added to my dress. They sewed on spaghetti straps, then attached the lacy sleeves to the straps. I wanted to give the dress a more vintage vibe, which it didn't have when it was strapless.
I called it my Belle dress because the bottom reminded me of her dress.
It really does look like a Belle dress! I was obsessed with Beauty and the Beast when I was a kid, and I always used to dream about getting to wear a Belle dress someday.

Aww this is fun!
everybody has such beautiful dresses!
here is a non prop but you can see the shape pretty well. It pretty much was tight lace bodice and then cascading lace into an ocean of tulle. God that tulle.  Lol. To demonstrate the size of this thing. Honestly ultra comfy though! Not heavy at all.Â
And proof that it bustled nicely lol. I boogied all night!
anyastroud- I love the red dress. I wanted some color in my dress but I was too scared to do it.
EVERY ONE I mean every one tried to talk me out of it. My Dad was not happy about it. A lot of the folks at bridal shops just wanted to layer color in or add just a little pop of color. I wanted red damn it! It was my wedding and I got what I wanted.

I wanted a colored dress also, but I was told no one on my husband's side would attend a wedding with a colored dress because only white means purity, and they only attend virgin weddings (or something like that). They even asked for a fabric swatch to make sure my dress was white enough! I was a rebel to have champagne trim.
I guess this could go in the in-law thread. lol.
And you were a sweet innocent virgin when you guys were married? LOL @ your champagne colored trim you Rebel you.

Omg. No. I thought my dad's side would be up in arms over us not getting married in a church, but sorry. It was our wedding, not theirs. If they thought this was more important than being there, that's ridiculous! Maybe I'm just mean, lol. But asking for a fabric swatch? Really?
This is the back: Funny story: my mom was on the phone with the wedding coordinator when this picture was taken, trying to hide the fact that the limo that was supposed to pick up my H/groomsmen and then come get us was missing. She was trying to resolve it in code before I found out but I remember thinking WTF was she talking to.
