Got home on Saturday from probably the best cruise I have ever been on... and I have been on 20+. The weather was amazing, and the unlimited food, booze and naps was the best part... and having the wonderful company of my BF as well :-)
We cruised on Caribbean Princess and went to Grand Turk, San Juan, St. Thomas and Princess Cays. Princess Cays was by far the best... just rented a raft and floated in the crystal blue water all day. We were just in Grand Turk in March so we only got off to buy cigars and got back on the ship. In San Juan, the excursion we wanted to do sold out so we went to a local restaurant and had a wonderful lunch. And in St. Thomas, all the catamaran excursions were sold out so we wandered the shops until the BF couldn't take the hassling anymore... going downtown is really only good if you are shopping for booze or diamonds lol.
Nice!!! Welcome back! I want to go on a cruise so bad! I'm trying to convince DH to take me on one to South America where we honeymooned for our 10 year anniversary in 2016.

Cruising with kids is not the same. It was pretty terrible, actually. We went on a very not baby friendly ship though, so if you did a Disney or one with more kids programs I'm sure it would be fine. Kids with swim diapers aren't allowed in the pools (on any cruise line except Disney) and there were no splash pads or alternatives for little ones on my ship. On my ship the kids program didn't start until age 3, so we had to keep her with us all day and nothing was baby proofed and there just wasn't anything for us to do.
However, if you're cruising without your kids or on Disney, definitely go!!!!
Raices. We met a couple on the ship that was from San Juan and they recommended it... it was pretty darn good. Got fried pork, rice and beans and fried plantains... yum!

Yeah, vacationing to me, means without kids. So, no kids!

Conversely- a Disney cruise for couples without kids- I would not recommend. Though it was probably good birth control for me and the husband.
Wow! Gorgeous couple and these pics make me so jealous! The Caribbean water is just heavenly. I've been on one cruise (Bahamas) and hope to go again someday...thanks for sharing! P.S. I love your hair!
Great pics! We like to cruise too but have only been on Royal Caribbean (7 times). How do you like Princess?
We love Princess. I would say it is more catered more towards adults (some of their ships don't have kids programs), so it is nice for couples traveling without kids. We pondered bringing my BF son, but we are glad we didn't because there were more kids in the 17+ range than his - which is 10, and he would have been SO bored... and I would have gone crazy lol. It is comparable to Royal though when it comes to the food, but I feel like the service is better on Princess. Our next 2 cruises are on Royal, and then we have a family Thanksgiving cruise planned for 2015 on the new Regal Princess... now that I am excited about!
