I pierced my nose last night. Wo-hoo. I am super excited for this weekend. mp is going to take me to do touristy stuff Friday when I get to LA. Then the MLers are putting together a fun gtg and it looks like I'm going to meet a lot of really great women. jigsy is awesome for having me stay with her and I'm just happy to go.
I've had a couple of decent dates with a guy from pof. My bff was telling me last night that if I want more of a relationship I should be picking different guys so I logged on to pof to show her the selection and she was like, "oh..."
I don't even open the e-mails from chemistry.com or eharmony anymore, I know what I'll see and it's sad. So glad I didn't pay for them. LOL.

I am seriously behind on planning for this trip though - and have no wedding gift for the couple. They said no gifts, but I personally feel weird giving nothing. Any last minute suggestions?
I can't bring anything big since it is a destination wedding - and it is a pain to ship anything to them or give them gift cards (they live in Brazil). My friend took my picture frame idea already....

Not much happening here today. We have implemented a "stay at home day" policy today, but I'm going to break that for 45 minutes to go to kickboxing. Other than that my focus is applying for jobs. My goal is to apply for 3 every day (until I run out of local options), but I was so busy yesterday doing other things that I didn't apply for any. I may shoot for 6 today.

On the radio show I listen to, they were doing a bit where they'd read guys profiles on the air, and you had to guess if the dude was on Match.com, or inmates.com. Yeah... it was hard to tell the difference on most of them.
I had a super rough day at work yesterday so I guess the good thing is that I don't think today can be worse? Oh I did make a delicious and healthy dinner last night so I'm excited to eat that for lunch!

I'm a little bummed today and it is petty. FI leaves for Ecuador tomorrow morning with his friend. He's only going to be gone for 10 days, but I am still kinda sad about it. We just moved into our house together 2 weeks ago and were finally settling into it and then he leaves for vacation.
HOWEVER! My niece, who is my age, is coming on Friday and bringing her three kids down with her, so I am very excited about that! She's going to stay the entire time FI is gone, so that makes me HAPPY!

the downside he's a NE Pats fan and I LOATHE Tom Brady ... I'm willing to overlook that flaw. we both play fantasy football and he's a CAL alum need to get serious about finding a sitter for dd so I can meet this guy for a drink sometime

I stayed up way too late watching the end of season 4 of breaking bad and now I am way too tired for work. We have given up sex in favor of breaking bad lately. As soon as the kids go to bed, we start watching and then keep going until we are ready to pass out. Luckily, there is only one season left, so we may actually do it again some day.
I did the same thing with Breaking Bad. Once I started I couldn't stop - I was literally getting on a few hours of sleep a night since I couldn't turn it of. I kept telling myself "just one more" but then somehow 3am would roll around. Zero self control over here obviously.

I have a couple of other shows that I want to start but I keep telling myself I need to wait till I'm less busy at work. As much as I want to tell myself that I will only watch a couple episodes each day, I know it won't happen.

I talked a little more in detail about my training routine in that other thread. But rather than just take my advice, I recommend reading up on training programs like New Rules of Lifting for some basics, and Brett Contreras for glute-specific training.

Ha! Me four! Although, I did read it. I got so confused by the layout of the workouts that I threw the book down and never picked it back up.

Lol. I understood the individual exercises but couldn't grasp the order and frequency to do them in. It was confusing as hell! So, don't feel bad!

I hooked up with the 22 year old again last night.
I got into a fight with my friend today after she sent me a job posting for a position that didn't even require a degree and didn't understand why I was insulted and then got mad at me for being upset. I'm in a mood where I'm sick of people and need a break. This program is super intense and the job hunt is getting to me.
