I learned about ThreadUp on this forum. I am really impressed with them!
I ordered Fall school clothes for my girls and saved a bundle. I wanted to wait and see what they looked like before posting and wow, when the box came the clothing was neatly wrapped in tissue and really nice. All the dresses were in perfect or near perfect condition. Again, really impressed! Only 1 dress did not fit and I am in the process of returning it for a full refund.
Anyways, they also sent me coupons in my first order - $20 off. Pretty sweet.
I just signed up. I don't really understand what it is though.
It's like an on - line used clothing store. All the clothes have been previously worn and some are in perfect or near perfect condition.
You can also send in your clothes for free to have them sell for you. You request a box/bag and they ship to you for free and you put your items inside and then they pay you a fee upfront or after the clothes sell -- all depending on the brand names (I think).
I was just really surprised with the quality, the dresses are in great condition, don't look worn and I paid on average $10/dress for my kids! A steal! And I actually really liked how many different brands were available vs going to a million different web sites to shop.

I have sent stuff to them. They are very picky with what they take! I have made ~$50 off of one bag. Most of the items they paid me $1-2 for, and anything with tags on (sadly I had a couple of those) gave me $4-5. All of it was Gymboree. Not horrible payout, and very easy to do. I just sent them my second bag, and ordered bag 3 in the mail.
I got my maternity wardrobe from there, pretty much. I probably spent $150-200 total over the course of my pregnancy, and that included three pairs of jeans, four shirts, a sweater, two blouses, and a wool maternity coat. Love them!
