Haha! We have duvet covers on DD1's twin bed and on the guest queen bed and I find then totally manageable. I bought one for our king master bed and wrestled with that thing for 20 minutes before packing it back up and marching it back to the store. I wanted to be able to remove it and wash it weekly, but I knew I'd never do it if it was that much of a hassle. So I got a comforter instead, but luckily our new washer and dryer are large enough to handle it.
The struggle that is a King duvet cover lol. I literally have to lay the cover inside out on the bed ..lay the comforter on top tie the strings together and then go inside the duvet cover to flip it right side out. I should film it . It's hilarious. I am sure there is a better way but this is my ritual lol.
I've been using a duvet cover since college and love being able to change up the cover periodically. Would love to see the cover you fell in love with; post a pic!
gah I hate duvets. The inside never stays where it should be and it annoys the shit out of me. We ditched ours a few years back and got a bedspread instead and I put like 3 thick blankets under it in the winter.

My least favorite part of duvets is the ironing after washing. The past few years we've just had a bedspread too, like pp, with extra blankets in the winter. I love the weight of the duvet, but it was always either rumpled or took forever to iron and starch.
I like it! It is pretty without being too precious or fussy.
I love using duvet covers. Easy to wash, dries faster than a comforter, the covers don't take up a lot of space to store so I can change them according to my mood if I want.
I don't find it that big of a deal to change, and we use king size duvet on our full size bed. It is much easier with help, so if DH is around when I am remaking the bed I do enlist his help, just to make it take less time.
I have a love hate with my duvet too. Mine has buttons which makes it fairly easy but if I don't snap it tight on the line to dry or take it out of the dryer ASAP it's wrinkly. Sometimes I just don't give a damn and throw it on the bed anyways.
The trick to keeping it tight is to buy an insert a size bigger than what you need. It helps so much. I have a King insert in a queen duvet and it fits so much better.

Ooo! I like it!
I always used hair ties to hold my corners in place. But anymore I just leave the duvet folded up at the foot of the bed. I like the color it adds, but I've been lazy to wrestle it.
I've never ironed it, either. (Again lazy!) I made the mistake of taking all the curtains in the house down to wash last weekend. I assumed I could just pop them back up, but nope. They were crazy wrinkled. I spent 6 hours ironing. I hope they stay clean, because I'm not doing that again for a very long time.

It looks cute.
But I think I'm doing something wrong b/c I've never ironed or had trouble with corners. DH and I have had duvet's since college - we used to use two in the winter when we were first living together (his and mine) b/c we were too poor to turn up the heat in our cold apt.
