Anyone else's toddlers hoarding? I feel like H is. For example, when we get him from his crib, we use to bring a lovely and his small stuffed animal. Now we have to bring those plus the board books, blanket and usually one other stuffed animal that he insisted on sleeping with. I had hardly carry down all that plus him.
He's in his crib now as I'm about to hop in the shower, everything goes back in plus about 10 books and a few toys. He puts everything in himself. I feel like he hoards.
On a positive, he loves his crib and had never tried to climb out, but he did try to climb in the other day.

DS1 is almost 5 and he sleeps with his bed absolutely covered in stuffed animals. DS2 is 2.5 and he sometimes wants to sleep with strange things (a shovel, his lawnmower, the toothpaste) and more normal things (books, toys, etc.). I don't let him have the dangerous items, but sometimes he sleeps with several of his things. It seems like common little kid behavior.
My DS is 2.5. I only let him nap with a book and his lovey. Sometimes I let him bring Shellington from Octonauts in too.
He has asked to sleep with " Magnantiles, the octopod, the letter T, the number 7, the number 8, the radio, a giant mickey mouse doll, thomas the train, percy the train and grandma ( yes he wanted to bring my MIL to bed with him)"
I don't let him, but it's funny what kids want to sleep with.
DD has been doing this more and more lately. I try and limit it a little (only her dog and baby, not those two things plus books plus X Y or Z). We still limit what she can sleep with because more toys or stuffed animals = less sleep for her.
It's not uncommon for her to say "Can Echo [her dog] come in the car? What about shovel? And the books?" etc etc.
That sounds normal. DS wanted all his stuffed animals and every blanket he owned in bed with him after we ditched the crib. When we go on walks, he likes to collect rocks, sticks, pine cones, everything that's cool.

Okay, thanks.
Maybe hoarding was the wrong word @tokenhoser. I meant just wanting to take everything everywhere. It happened overnight. One morning, everything had to come out of the crib and downstairs, which is fine, it just surprised me.
satsuma, yes we have been collecting rocks and twigs for a while now! I always find them in the diaper bag, car seat, stroller, LOL.
