I had it in an old house and my mom has it now. The kind I had in my old house was really high quality and I mopped with just plain ol mr.clean or pine sol
My moms has to be mopped with a laminate cleaner. I can't remember the name of it, but she tried to do with out and just regular mopped and it damaged some of the "wood". I also think she was using too much water.
Oh yes. I've been using a special mop with a detachable microfiber cloth. It spritzes the water out in a faint spray then you mop it up. It seemed safer than using a traditional mop and getting too much water on the floor. I've always been scared of warping floors.
BUT I notice that it needs more SHINE if you will....so looking for a cleaner.
We have laminate everywhere except the bathrooms and basement. We just swiffer or vacuum them multiple times per week (due to dog hair everywhere) and then about once a month (or if pup tracks in mud) I use the swiffer mop with the spray that comes with it.

I can't remember exactly what my parents have, it's some sort of wood. I know she usually Swiffers it, but they also don't have pet hair or anything to clean up, just dust and a few stray crumbs most of the time. I'm not sure what she uses if she spills something, I think just a wet rag?
The author says it's not good for real hardwood, which is what I have. We use a Murphy's Oil solution and a quick mop (similar to a swiffer, but the pad is washable).
