Pickles are taking over my fridge. I have already reached a point of pickling a gallon of cucumbers a week. If this volume continues I'm either going to have to buy another fridge or give some away.

I'm getting a kick ass tan from spending so much time outside with my kids this summer. I wear sunscreen- sometimes. My 20 year old self would be thrilled. My 39 year old self is like "oh no, this is bad".
Eta- I think this is less a bragplaint and more a flameful.
I cannot wait until my cucumbers grow and I can pickle them. Yum!
They are a very simple dill with a little garlic. I'm sitting here with a jar beside me right now. When this gallon of pre-made brine is done I think I'm going to try my hand and bread a butter.
I'm carrying my weight better this pregnancy than I did with Oliver. I've gained about the same (maybe a little less?) but I gained a lot in my face with him. And back. And arms.
This time it's mostly in my legs, but not much else has changed dramatically. It's making me worry that all the weight is in my stomach and she's going to come out 14 pounds or something : /
Now I'm going to waste the evening googling "how to make pickles" because I have a bunch of cukes. Of course, my kids really like cucumbers so maybe I shouldn't bother... Of course they do, BTW. OF COURSE my tiny, underweight, not on the growth charts, children decide their favorite snack is a vegetable that is basically solid water)
Ball sells a dill pickle mix that is pretty good! Just boil and add to cucumbers and let it sit or can it.
I'm losing my pregnancy weight so quickly that it's sort of alarming. The baby is 10 days old and I've lost 28 of 32lbs.
Get your thyroid checked.
I've never had problems with it before. The weight came off fairly quickly with DS1 but not like this. Generally me losing weight takes a lot of effort. Well I'm off to google...
I googled and it doesn't look like I should be concerned. I was heavier than I like to be before getting pregnant so I can afford to lose a little extra. I was definitely swollen and still can't get my wedding rings on

Sorry - I didn't mean it to be alarmist. I lost almost all of weight immediately too plus an extra 10 lbs. And the doctors checked my thyroid because you can develop hyperthyroidism after having a baby. I never heard of that happening but they noticed my weight loss and checked. I didn't have it, thankfully. Enjoy the weight loss! btw- my sons name is Cole too
My mom and I can pickled okra every year. A nice little old man owns a roadside stand on a farm road and sells them for us. He says it brings business for his stuff, too (he sells jams/jelly and harvests his own honey).
This year we canned 300 jars. OMG. If I never smell vinegar again, I'll be ok.

You and me both, sister. I wish it could be summer foreverrrrrr.
