I know several of us are struggling right now. Anyone want to check in? I'm available to listen!
I had a good day -- met with my sponsor for coffee and purchased new chairs (that don't squeak) for our office. Hung out with my nephew for a while, which is always enlightening. Seeing the world from the viewpoint of a teenager.
I'm frustrated and anxious...I've been trying to finish a school project (which is already overdue), so I haven't been able to spend much time here. I'm starting to think Lexapro + Bispirone isn't going to cut it. I really don't want to add a third medication to the list, but I can't keep going like this.
DH and I attended his first meeting. He wasn't completely shut off, which is something. He accepted the big book, and even ran out to his truck to get it before he took off for the week. That made me much more at ease with him heading OOT. He has a coworker in AA who has offered to take him to meetings while they are traveling.
We went out to eat and see some friends afterwards and for the first time in a long time I didn't have that sinking feeling. I never know who I am gonna bring home with me after a night out.
He was short tempered Sat with me and the kids, but today was great.
I know this is going to be a long road, but I feel good about this weekend.

That's great to hear! Sounds like you had a pleasant time. Remember, baby steps.
Difficult as my weekend was, some good things still happened. My H picked up his 90-day chip on Sunday!!! I don't have words for how happy I am for him. He still struggles sometimes, but he's got a great connection with his sponsor. Our relationship still needs a lot of repair work, but for the first time I actually feel like he's taking responsibility for his issues and making an effort. Just wanted to share
