So that leaves anna7602, MrsDarcy, and me also due this week. Anyone I missed? So many babies!!
How are y'all feeling? Today is my third-to-last day of work...well, I have some work to do on Thursday but I don't have to drive to campus (thank God). ML starts in earnest on Friday! <) I'm sure that will give me plenty of time to overanalyze my symptoms (or non-symptoms LOL).
My practice likes to induce around 41w, which I'm fine with. They only induce on Mondays and Tuesdays (I don't know if this is to get people out of the hospital before the weekend, haha, or to line up with the doctors' call schedules). So my options are 40+2, 40+3, 41+2, or 41+3. I am leaning toward 41+2 because I'd really rather go into labor spontaneously, but I'm not sure. If you've scheduled an induction, when did you do it?
rbp I chose to be induced at 41w1d and he was born at 41w2d. I was able to look at the on-call schedule beforehand and picked my favorite combination of doctors in my practice, and it worked out (there are 6 or 7 OBs in my practice). An OB I liked started my induction and left the next morning, and my favorite OB ended up delivering C. 41w was my "okay, I'm cool with an induction now" date.
Yep, I'm due Friday (so crazy to say that!). Since baby is still breech, my c-section is scheduled for next Tuesday, 8/5. I was surprised that they'd let me go that long, but I guess if I go into labor I just go in and have a c-section, it's not like a condition where we'd be put in danger if I went into labor.
I was induced last time and we scheduled it for 40w6w with Cervadil that night (I arrived at 7pm), then they broke my water and started pitocin the next morning. Everett was born at 6:31pm that evening at 41w.
For your scheduling, I'd just pick whichever day would be most convenient, and go later if you'd like to try and go into labor on your own. If I were in that boat, I'd schedule the induction for as late as possible, as I did last time.
I feel ready. Well, except I have to figure out some way to shave. That should be fun!
Down there? Because yeah...that's not happening for me. I feel proud when I run the trimmer over it. LOL
Haha, yeah, I'd like to trim up myself. I told my H he needs to help me out. He chickened out last time. I just feel so much cleaner with less down there (not bare, but...), and with everything that happens after birth, I'll take all the clean I can get.
I remember one of my friends saying she laid a towel on the floor and pretty much spread eagle in front of a mirror to shave. I have a feeling that's what I'll have to do. I can't see anything already and shave about once a week down there. I usually try to just feel my way and then look in the mirror after to make sure I don't have a big patch I missed, but so far so good. I never thought I would miss seeing my vag
I'm at 41 now so I better have a baby this week! I am sooo ready and over analyzing every darn thing. I'm also sick of all he phone calls, comments and suggestions from random strangers. And yes Facebook, I'm stilllllll pregnant!

Oh gawd. Luckily my friends seem to know better with the "is he here yet?" texts and phone calls (at least so far). However, my mom's family isn't so tactful. They've been texting her daily since 38w for updates! :?
Sending lots of labor dust your way! Will you be induced at some point if you don't go into labor spontaneously?

I've been avoiding induction so my OB said we'd discuss after my apt Thursday. She kept thinking she would come on her own bc I'm dilated and thinned but stillllll waiting.....
Just went to my acupuncturist today for a super-duper-let's-get-the-show-on-the-road kind of treatment. I've been having on and off contractions since Thursday. Otherwise, I wouldn't be so impatient.
I've had to pretty much cut my mother off because her phone calls and statements and chats with other people (including my IL's, as I mentioned in a response to someone else's post) are driving me insane. For the record, it is not okay to leave several messages in a row in a short period of time saying, "did you have the baby? OMG, I am so worried." And it is definitely not okay to tell anyone I am in labor when I am not. My father agrees that she is stressing me out and has promised to keep her away from the phone. Happily, he gets it and can ask me normal things like, "are you keeping cool?" and "how's DD?"
Yep, I am a grumpy uber-pregnant woman. Don't mess with me!
Yep, me this week!! I'm feeling good. Lots of aches and pains, and lots of irregular contractions. I was at a 4 and 80% effaced last Monday so I'm pretty surprised to still be pregnant at this point. Baby has dropped a lot between last week and this week. We spent the weekend doing a lot of non baby friendly things like going to a movie, brunch, long afternoon naps and lots of family and friend time. It was really nice. My last day of work is tomorrow and then I have my last dr appointment Wednesday and my induction will be set up for Thursday sometime. I was hesitant about induction at first, but I'm okay with it now. I know it's best for the baby not to go past 40 weeks with the GD, even though I've been lucky to remain diet and exercise controlled. Plus I'm really excited to meet her, although I'm sad to see the end of my pregnancy. I've had a ton of crazy stuff happen in the last 10 months, but none of it, not even DH's job loss has ruined the experience I waited a really long time for. It's going to be hard knowing this is my only pregnancy and it went by so quickly.
I'll let you all know how things turn out and good luck to everyone!!
I was induced at 40w1d. I was 5+ cm dilated so it was an easy induction. I came in at 9am and started pitocin and delivered at 2pm. If I am electively induced again, i will decide when based on my body.

I like this induction story!! I'm hoping for similar results at mine on Thursday. I was at a 4 at my appointment last week.
I am, hopefully! Due on Thursday and have an appointment with a sonogram on Friday if she's not here yet. Definitely feeling like I'm at the end though and getting a little uncomfortable. I'm also still working and am so sick of hearing the same "you're STILL here?!" comments all day long! I'm also obsessed with reading birth stories right now.
