Most airlines will have a packet of stuff at the seat when you fly international on overnight. It typically includes a blanket, pillow, ear plugs, eye mask and socks.

What??? That would make me feel like such a baller, lol.
In case you can't tell, I've never been on an international flight before.
Blanket, pillow, eye mask, ear plugs, and really bad headphones came free on Delta economy international. They also offer the same packet in first class coast to coast.

FYI - Delta also does blankets and pillows in coach on long-haul red-eye domestic flights. I just did a 5 hour domestic and there was a blanket/pillow on every seat when we boarded.
Are these blankets/pillows clean? I thought I saw something about it on the news a while back, so I always avoid them.
They're probably cleaner than your seat.
I've put my face on countless airline pillows over the years, and I've never had any ill effects.
The only time I've ever had an issue with an airline blanket, it was actually a clean one. It was on either TAM or TAP Portugal, and the blanket had been bagged at the cleaners. But when I opened the plastic bag containing the blanket, it had somehow been bagged still damp, so the blanket inside was disturbingly wet! I managed to catch the attention of one of the flight attendants, and they just replaced it for me.
