I cannot contain my jealousy over my husband's business trips. I know they are "business", but last night I got a credit card alert for a large purchase from a fancy sushi restaurant and then another one from a bar (he's paying for clients and will be reimbursed). I WANT TO GO OUT.
Everyone who has a girl should go to costco and buy this fall jacket. It's so cute! And it's London Fog, which is a great brand (I have one of their raincoats and love it). And it's $16.99.
I got Jamie the boy version without bows and polka dots, but it's not as adorable.

I would be so jealous. And mad. Mostly jealous.
He's all like "trust me, I'd rather be home"... but, really?? Would you? Because I'm pretty sure I'd rather be out eating fancy sushi!
I know this doesnt really mean anything to you guys but in just 3 months, I have reached Diamond Status at BeachBody. This is HUGE. I achieved it yesterday! Now that I'm diamond, my business is about to BLOW THE EFF UP!

Just had the scariest moment of my life so far. We were over a friend's house and S was sleeping on me. V was playing in their playroom in the basement. She came up to show me something and was going to go back down when she fell down the entire flight of stairs. It was like slow motion. I couldn't see her the whole time but I could hear it.
My friend got to the bottom first and she was screaming. I looked to see if any limbs were at weird angles. I gave S to my friend and scooped her up. She banged up her head and face pretty good. The doctor said to take her to the Er if she was acting strange but she seems okay. I felt like I drank 50 cups of coffee, I was shaking so bad. I should have insisted she stay off of the stairs.
I had to get blood work done yesterday during nap time, so as a last resort,I asked Jeff's 17 year old cousin to babysit. It was nap time for crying out loud-what could go wrong?!
Well, she was 20 minutes late which made me late for my appointment for starters. I was gone for exactly 1 and a half hours and I came home to her grubby boyfriend laying on my couch, Blake was wide awake ( had been for awhile-I'm assuming the dog going ape shit when the bf came in was probably the nap ruiner,) and Blake's diaper was full of shit.
Nope. Never again! She has been permanently crossed off the babysitter list.
Holy crap!!
This is reason número uno I refuse to hire teens as sitters. My mom keeps pushing me to do it, but it's stuff like this that solidifies my decision not to. Glad he was ok for the most part.
L usually wakes up in the morning (around 6:45 or 7) and gets up and plays with his toys until we come in to get him. During that time, sometimes he will poop. No biggie. Except today. We heard him playing, he said "dada?" once or twice but we didn't think anything of it and kind of laid in bed for a bit. DH gets in the shower and I go in to change L. I see him in his room in the dark, butt naked. This can't be good. I open the curtains and I see pee and poop all over the floor. Not in his diaper, of course. His diaper was full from pee overnight, so he took that off, and then proceeded to poop and pee on the floor. Then he apparently rolled around in it? Because it was on his back, shoulders, FACE. There was also pee on some books on the floor, and poop all over his toy microphone. I don't even want to know why. So DH and I are on our hands and knees scrubbing poop and pee out of the carpet while L sits in his bed reading a book. Good morning!

Butters tumbled head over heels down a flight of stairs last time we were in the states. I know exactly how you feel.

We got M the same coat in gray/green a couple weeks ago at our Costco. I was pumped - my favorite rain coat is London Fog, too!

Ruby has adjusted her schedule to an earlier bedtime. I was perfectly happy with a 9pm-ish bedtime for her but now she's already awake so it will be more like an 8pm bedtime at the latest which is the same time as Violet. NOOOOOOO. And the dog walker comes at that time. Last night when she came Violet was screaming in her crib, and Ruby was naked covered in vomit and screaming.

William went to bed at 8 last night and Matilda at 845. It worked out great! Now tonight since I have them alone for bedtime I'm sure William will be screaming for boob while I'm putting Matilda down so I will have to feed him while she climbs on me with her sharp edged books.
Is ruby sleeping through the night still? The crib transition didn't faze her?

We moved her to the co sleeper (so basically a pack n play but just next to my bed) and she did great! I think it's because she sleeps on her belly now and that is what she prefers. I'm hoping the 4 month wakeful doesn't hit us hard but we've been so lucky so far.
I pumped for the first time today (was lazy about calling insurance to get my pump and just got it) and Declan took a bottle with no issues! Time to start a stash for drinking and going out I don't think that's what the Obama plan envisioned with requiring insurance to cover pumps
spaghetticat how scary! I'm sure she's ok. I am so worried about luke on the steps.
TrudyCampbell did you ever reschedule that date night/show/dinner your H got from work?
We're scheduling it for some time soon! Probably in August. We just need to pick a restaurant and pull the trigger. It's really annoying now that my H is doing gluten free.
