I haven't felt the baby move a ton because of an anterior placenta but the last few days she has been moving a lot. Today when I woke up, I didn't really feel her while I was in bed or the whole way to work. I ate breakfast and got 2 or 3 faint kicks but then nothing since. All the stories online freaked me out. I called the dr and they are having me come in at 12:30 est. Now I am sort of freaking out. If you can spare good thoughts please send them my way. Thanks!
Sending you good thoughts! I really think you're fine. All my doctor said was that I should feel the baby every day. You'll feel less movement with an anterior placenta. Keep us updated on your appointment!

I'm sure everything is OK but I'm glad you're taking it seriously. Usually the day after Baby H has a uterine dance party, she's pretty quiet. Then she'll be dancing up a storm later. When in doubt I lay down, have something cold & sugary (ice cream works best for her... lol) and that get's her moving.
Sending good thoughts! Try to lay on your left side and drink a big glass of something cold and sugary to see if that gets her going. If it doesn't I'm sure L&D will be able to provide quick reassurance baby is just having a sleepy day.

Good news. She is moving but I am just not feeling it. Waiting to see the doc now but the ultrasound tech was happy I came in. She said people don't take this stuff seriously enough. Thanks for your positive thoughts!
Glad everything is okay. I am only 18 weeks but I already know I have an anterior placenta so I am really wondering how much different this pregnancy will be from my first. I absolutely relied on those kicks for a reminder that my daughter was okay. I have already been annoyed by several commentators that it's weird I haven't felt him yet when at least I know why.
I have an anterior placenta as well, at each appointment I discuss movement with my ob. I'm currently 24 weeks and feel her a few times a day when I'm absolutely still. My ob doesn't seem concerned with the lack of movement I feel and tells me it's normal. With ds I felt him a lot. It makes me feel like I'm missing out and causes extra anxiety.
Glad things are ok. I have an anterior placenta as well and the description in your OP is pretty much my feelings of her every day. Maybe a few kicks then nothing for a long time then a whole day of movement.
