I loved these books! Somehow cannot remember who my favorite was but it was probably Stacey because of her diabetes...I've always been curious, sympathetic to those with illnesses, probably because I had a slightly rough start at life (was born at 31 wks) and later because of my asthma.
OMG I loved the baby sitters club so much. My favorite was probably Mary Anne. That series is so ridiculous. I live how they went from 7th to 8th grade I like the first five books, and then they never got any older, lol
Was anyone else super excited to see the BSC show is on Netflix now?

WHAT is this you speak of? I'll have to check it out before DH closes our Netflix account!
I LOVED The Baby-Sitter's Club! My older sister got me into the series, and I read 100+ of the books. My favorite character was Mary-Anne, because I could relate to being shy and reserved. I didn't do much baby-sitting, just a little bit in high school.
I definitely read the books! I wanted to form my own club, which was kind of ridiculous since I didn't really like babysitting and had no time for it anyway because of my horses. Maybe I just wanted a group of girls to boss around lol.
Kristy was my favourite, but I have to admit to attempting Claudia's style. FYI it did not look as cool on me as it did on her in the books.

OMG you must. It's so terrible, I love it.
Also, any BSC fans need to read the blog Claudia's Room. She stopped updating it, sadly, but she would reread the books as an adult and point out how terrible they are. I wasted hours the day I found that blog
I read a few of the books, but I can't remember who was my favorite. I was more devoted to Sweet Valley High. I kind of feel that BSC and SVH were like NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys- you had to pick one!

I also loved SVH!! Have you read the newest ones? It's called The Sweet Life, and it's the twins when they are like 30- it's like a sequel to Sweet Valley Confidential. It was so so so bad but so good at the same time

No, I had forgotten about them actually! Thanks for reminding me. Just downloaded on my kindle.

S/O SVH, did anyone play or have the board game? I remember my friend Becky had it. I loved getting to go to her house to play it!
Me!!!! This game is how I learned the sad truth about Santa, actually. I found the box under my parents' bed a couple of weeks before Christmas. I was beyond sad when it showed up Christmas morning from the big guy.
As for characters, I loved Claudia. She loved Nancy Drew and junk food and had her own phone! Btw, I totally brought "kid kits" to my babysitting gigs.
I was obsessed with these books and I bought a few from a used bookstore recently so my future kids can read them one day. They'll think I'm so lame! My favorites alternated depending on the book!

Eta: I had the BSC board game, not SVH. Oops.
Okay, well I had the SVH game, and while it wasn't how I found out about Santa, it was what I saw the only time I ever went snooping for presents. It was a fun game, but more importantly, I learned the value of anticipation and surprise!
