I get irrationally annoyed when people have big bushes growing in their parking strip. In particular, there is one right in front of DS's daycare. It's the city, so there is limited parking and I often have to park there during drop off or pick up. I can barely open the door to get out, and in the winter I end up getting soaked squeezing by since all the leaves are wet. It's almost like it is intentionally done to keep people from parking there? I know it's their right to plant what they want but damn I get po'd.
*edited because while I sometimes feel DH does need daycare, I meant to say DS*
Actually, if it's in Seattle city limits, they DON'T have the right to plant what they want Last I knew, you def have to get approval/permit for little raised veggie beds. I think they should make that for obnoxious shrubs like you describe, those bother me worse!
If you call city maintenance to let them know about the overgrown bush they'll come out and trim it back.
There are some very large bushes coming out of my neighborhood that when, over grown, it makes it a driving hazard because I can't see around it and see if there are cars coming. If I call and let them know what's up they'll come out and trim it back.
Don't really have a ton of home related annoyances yet.
My big ones are spelling grammer: "less" when someone meant "fewer" and "insure" when they meant "ensure". Though now I think "insure" is considered acceptable in almost all cases .

Or grammer when someone meant grammAr
Sorry, my spelling is terrible +o( . Also that sentence should say "spelling and grammar". There's a blogger who is so famous for his typos and editing errors that someone started a blog of nothing but his typos & editing errors. If I were as famous as him the errata blogger would be even busier!
i might be irrational but i hate when babies don't wear shoes. especially if it seems like their feet are just out there. lol. i'm talking under 18mo.
i also can't usually take people with lisps seriously.
or kids with dirty clothes on. i think the thing with kids for me is that we were always dirty/filthy and running amuck when we were little.. and on welfare. i just don't want that for my kids, ifi have any, ever.
Is this irrational? One of our neighbors is like fast and the furious. Is always "pimping their ride"/working on their car in their driveway and has tons of friends over with little racer cars. The cars pile out of their driveway sometimes and into the cul-de-sac. There is an HOA rule not to park in the cul-de-sac. So the house in between us and this neighbor is for sale. Neighbor has friends over and the cars decide to park in the driveway of the house for sale. Drives me nuts. It's not your house, don't park there. If you have too many cars for your driveway go park down the street and not on the cul-de-sac. Ugh.
Also, my mind is in the gutter because I giggled when I read "big bushes growing in their 'parking' strip" and thought landing strip.

Edit: house for sale is vacant
I think parking in the For Sale house's driveway is a little off.
Does parking on the cul-de-sac make it impossible to turn around? Are there driveways that people can still turn into to 3-point turn?

I you guys. Glad I'm not the only one with my mind in gutter.
Yes, depending on how far out they park it does make it impossible for others to turn around. They park, um, perpendicular to the cul-de-sac curve and not like parallel along the curve. (If I'm using my geometry right). Basically straight out of the driveway sometimes multiple cars behind one another. Very annoying. Parking in the for sale house makes the cul-de-sac less crowded sure, but I'm just annoyed they have that many cars there. I'm a fuddy duddy.

People who park full size pickup trucks or full size suv's or minivans, etc. in â€compact†spaces.
The spaces are smaller, shorter, harder to see around with your big-ass vehicle making it a hazard.
I go to ikea during the week a lot, and you'd be shocked at the crew cab full size pickups with dualies parked in the compact area... Sometimes in spaces father away than rafts of open standard spaces.
Can these people not read? or do they park in compact spaces just to be dicky?
