Madison hasn't been very keen on any splash pads yet. There is one in the park by our house but she would pretty much walk over, get scared and not really go in.
My question is about what you, as the parent, wears when you go to a splash pad with LO. I ask because my friend mentioned going somewhere in Denver that apparently has a splash pad. I'm in that awkward, fat pregnant stage and I have no bathing suits that fit/I feel comfortable in.
Are you just in normal clothes and hope your kids runs around and plays independently? Or are you in a bathing suit because you're going to have to get in there and get wet, too.
I know this sounds like a really stupid question. Please humour me.
I normally wear flip flops since I will get wet at some point having to run after him and shorts and a tank top. Nothing you would be upset with if you got a little wet. I've seen many adults in swimming suits at the splashpads too, so just whatever you are comfortable with.
I took M to a theme park last summer and didn't realize a suit would be easier for the splash pad. I was in denim capris and a tank. I had to cuff them up and was soaking wet. Including soaking wet sandals.

Swimsuits FTW.
I definitely think for an actual waterpark I would do a swimsuit, but this sounds more like, "there happens to be a splash pad at this place."

I wear a suit, but the bottom of my tankini is like a shorter tennis style skirt. Now that he is getting more independent, I might try shorts/tank top. Parents usually are in a mix of suits/casual clothes.
I just wear what I normally do, but make sure to wear sandals because there are puddles around. I never have to go in the water. A has been anti-splash pad this summer. She hates the ones that spray. But the ones that create little "rivers" and "pools" she likes.
The one we go to is at a beach, so I'm always wearing a suit. We only go if it's hot out and I will run through with m to cool off. I wear a one piece or tankini and I have a little skirt I wear over it that I don't care if it gets wet.
I'm pretty heavily pregnant too and I wear leggings and a tanktop and flip flops. Julian runs around on his own so I never have to actually get wet. I've never seen any moms at the splash pad in a bathing suit. The one I go to is on the lake, so it's always a bit chilly and no one but kiddies are brave enough to get wet.
