I'm in the middle of this and I keep waiting for it to get better and not be predictable. Maybe?
My CW said her first 2 were better IHO though.
Gone Girl was my first/only book I've read by her, it definitely was predictable - the ending was a bit strange but it was an easy read to get through after work, I think I enjoyed how easy of a read it was haha
Record Screech!
Wait. You both thought Gone Girl was predictable?!?

Lol, I thought the same thing as you. It was a lot of things, but not predictable. Unless you are a psychopath, then you probably saw it coming.
Astonish Me by Maggie Shipstead. Professional ballet who's career declines and than disappears when she gets pregnant. Apparently it will pick up and get juicy. I'm only 59 pages in.
I am sooo far behind on my reading this summer, it isn't even funny. (And now we have a new puppy. And DH is working 90 hour weeks. Good-bye reading time!)
I'm currently in middle of Landline by Rainbow Rowell. I have had this book for months now, but finally got around to it. If I had the time, I could read it in one sitting. However, I don't have more than 5 minutes at a time. It's a pretty easy read. Rainbow is a terrific author in that regards. Her books flow so well!

Ruby by Cynthia Bond - I'm about 1/4 through, I love it so far. I'm also reading We Need to Talk About Kevin based on that "scary book" thread the other day. I like it so far, but I'm only about 50 pages in.
Neither of those are particularly light. The lightest, fluffiest book I recently read was The Heiresses by Sara Shepard (wrote the YA series Pretty Little Liars). It was easy and quick, I finished it in less than a day.
Less fluffy, but also pretty light, The All Girl Filling Station's Last Reunion by Fannie Flagg. I really liked that.
