Going to Lumenocity tomorrow! I can't wait!
I seriously hope that, aside from that, it's a low-key weekend. All I want to do is relax my face off. Yesterday I cleaned out the garage and I'm fucking exhausted.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
I'm so jealous! I couldn't get tickets and my meet-up group is all getting together at one of the alternate locations to watch it tomorrow--but I'm getting the kids back tomorrow night I might watch it on tv instead.
There is a David Bowie tribute band playing on fountain square tonight, I can't decide if I want to risk it and go or just stay in and clean while drinking.

I wish I had known! BF got two extra tickets because he thought (I guess?) that we would be dating other people by now but we haven't opened the relationship up again so now we have two extra tickets and no one to give them to!

Seriously?? Let me check with stbx, he hasn't mentioned anything about bringing the kids back tomorrow but I thought he had said he was working Sunday. If he's not working Sunday, I might be able to take at least one of those tickets off your hands.
ETA: He's working and I'd get home too late Saturday for him to bring the kids back.
Fiance is coming home tomorrow!! I haven't seen him since last Thursday and we have only communicated once (on FB) since he's been gone. I am excited for him to be home.
My niece and her kids are still in town, and I have a friend that has a daughter the same age as one of my great-nieces, so we have a play date at the pool tonight! So fun!

Even he was all "damn, I'm sorry--that sounded like it was pretty cool". If it were next weekend, I'd be all up in it because he's got them all weekend. *le sigh*

Last week I got invited to go out on this guys pontoon boat today (so we planned a week in advance). He's cool but seems a little flaky and I'm kind of "whatever" about it. He said wed be in touch this week and I haven't heard a peep about it. I texted him last night to see if we were still on and I still haven't heard anything. I have no tolerance for flakes so I find it annoying, however I think I'm more annoyed that I didn't make definitive plans for tonight so I think I'll figure out something to do instead and then the boating won't matter at all!
We have a super busy, social weekend. Dinner with another couple tonight, and I'm super excited. We don't see the a lot, and they're awesome. The one guy is as into comics and Thor, so they always have a blast together. And the other is one of my favorite people; he directed the play I was in two summers ago, and I enjoy and admire him so much. We rarely get time together, and I'm so jazzed to see them!
Tomorrow, we have a friend's surprise bday party, and Sunday is another friend's going away party. He's moving to Senegal!
On one hand, I'm excited. On the other, it sounds exhausting.
Today is day number two off from work and I'm pretty sure I've done as much work in these two days from home as I do when I'm at work. Kind of makes me not want to charge myself for the full time off.
I'm looking forward to enjoying some chocolate chip cookies here in a few minutes. Yum!
Feel better, FormerlyRR. I'm off today!! I did a bagel/coffee run, came home and washed my floors and now I need to shower and head to the nail salon. We're going to a concert tonight and I need to find something to wear. (It's a rock concert and a bit of of my element)
I am looking forward to the weekend. I am hanging out with my friend tonight and we will probably go to a fun area in different part of town. I've enjoyed going there before with other people but haven't gone with this friend before. It'll probably be a bit of a bar crawl.
Tomorrow I will do some errands and then I will spend the evening with the boy who is back in town. He sounds like he wants quality time. I will squeeze in more errands on Sunday and then hopefully probably some pool time or similar.

I am dragging today but for good reasons I went to ladies wine bar event and had a great time chit-chatting. Then one of the girls suggested going to a bar for the Thursday turtle races. I had never heard of this - but it was packed with decent looking (younger) guys. While I didn't meet anyone I would find interesting, I did make an effort to talk and smile at people and had several conversations. I ended up getting home at 1:30 and had to be at work at 7. But I will go back for the turtle races again.
Tonight I am going to a meetup.com book club dinner & wine/paint event. The rest of the weekend will be work, writing the divorce decree and TV watching.
