There's some store in New England called Christmas Tree Shops. They don't sell Christmas stuff year round as I thought they did.
Google tells me they sell affordable furniture, home decor, and kitchen essentials.
When I moved to New England from the mid-Atlantic, I didn't go into a Christmas Tree Shops store for the first three years because I also assumed that it sold Christmas items. Eventually I found out that it is not that at all and I was sad to have missed out on it for so long! LOL
We have a Christmas Tree Shops renamed as "And That!"
I always thought that the Door Store was an odd name, being that they sell furniture rather than doors.
A Philly-based Chinese restaurant opened in NY a few months ago. I sent a link to my husband and a friend suggesting that we check it out: handynasty.com
They were both like "What the hell kind of restaurant is Handy Nasty?"
(It is actually Han Dynasty)
There used to be a bar right by our apartment called Ramrod, but that was definitely intentional.
The gay bar across the street from where I used to live is called, "Woody's" :-)

I think I know that Woody's
Here, we also have The Cock
DH kept calling it "The Manhole" after the gay bar on The Simpsons. ;-) BTW, Han Dynasty (in Philly at least) is supposed to be great. My DH came home from eating there last week and was like, "Hey, did you know Han Dynasty also spells Handy Nasty?" :-D
Apparently this is a thing in New England? I don't know if it's a different impression than what's intended, because I haven't gone. It's just odd.
Not New England, western MA, and one just over the line in CT. And, yes, that's *exactly* what they sell. It's odd, but a local small business success story.

There's a restaurant in Cambridge named Pu Pu Hot Pot.
I used to love that place! alas, it is no more. I remember there was a newspaper review on their wall with the headline something like "terrible name, good food!".
