Well, since you asked about him more, I'm going to talk about him some more!  In 2001 I was at my town's summer festival with my mother talking a walk-through. There were a group of men standing nearby, and I heard one of them say to the others as I passed, "That is the marrying type." That guy actually stopped my mother to pay her a nice compliment about me (this was NOT the boyfriend but one of his friends). I was both flattered but also kind of shy about the attention, so I was sort of looking down. I looked up for a minute and saw him looking at me. And it was seriously like the world faded away. I can still see him-- OMG, you know how carnival lights are kind of warm and glowy? Yeah, I can still see that light around him.     

We went out on a few dates, but I had gone through some seriously traumatic shit that year and had extensive baggage, so I was really not in the right place for him, and he responded to that vibe. I just stopped calling him, and he acted in kind.  Lame.

Then I ran into him on New Year's Eve of 2004/2005.  His best buddy told me a few months in that he thought he would marry me, that he'd never seen someone so perfect for him or seen him so crazy about someone.  

Alas.

It's nice that I have not a single bad thing to say about him.  He was a classy, genuine guy.  And hot as fuck.
