i played a game recently i really liked...it wasn't perfect, so this is my idea of perfect version....
email/call/survey the groom a bunch of GTKY questions. at the shower, bride tries to answer them. if she cannot answer them, the group has a chance to "steal". if the group gets it right and the bride does not, the bride needs to chew a piece of gum until the game is over.
if you think she'll only have a few pieces of gum in her mouth, make sure it's bubbalicious or something obnoxiously big. if she might have a lot of pieces, use regular stick-gum, so it won't be as bad.
the party i went to, the bride had about 8 pieces of bubbalicious gum in her mouth at one time.

I went to one a while ago where we filled in a blank BINGO board with gifts we thought the bride would get. It was more fun than sitting there watching her open gifts. If you got a bingo you got a prize.
I've also done a game where you have several white substances/powders in a ziplock bags. You number them and pass them around so people can look at them. You can open the bags but not taste because some of the stuff isn't safe to eat (laundry detergent or dishwasher detergent, baking powder). Everyone got a chance to fill out their answer sheet. I'll keep thinking!
At the baby shower I went to recently, we each got a celebrity mom on a name tag stuck to our backs and we had to ask each other yes or no questions to guess who it was. It was fun and you got to know people. You could do a bride version.
I've played this before. It's fun.
There's another one, but It's been so long that I'm hazy on the details. Everyone starts out with a certain number of rubber bands. Then you pick a word that no one is allowed to say ( the last time I played it it was the grooms name) and then when someone catches you saying the word you give them one (or is it all?) of your rubber bands. Then at the end of the shower the person with the most rubber bands wins.m

we did this - one time it was clothespins another time we had plastic rings. We weren't allowed to say the bride's name, the groom's name, honeymoon or wedding. If you said it, you gave one of your rings to the person who catches you saying it. Oh and one time we couldn't cross anything - arms, legs etc and you gave up your thing if someone noticed. That one was hard!

Ooooh this might work for the bach party I'm planning!!
also, while she is opening gifts and just during the shower, don't tell her, but write down things she says.. like say she's opening a gift and she says "wow, that is HUGE!" or "i've never seen one like that before" or when looking to make sure her mom saw something "where is my mother??". Have some one writting stuff like that down without anyone knowing. at the end of opening gifts or whenever, announce that you'd like to read some things that she may or may not say on her wedding night. it's hilarious.
okay, sorry amanda..but that "can't say XX" game is the absolute worst. i hate it. although i kickass and win every single time, i think the game is dumb. sorry.

I didn't say I liked it! I was just trying to help clarify
ETA: FTR I pretty much hate a lot of these games. I especially don't like the ones where your friends are competing to see how well they know you because either no one knows the answers ("what song does she sing in the shower?" - how the hell do I know?!) or I feel bad because the best friend knows everything and I feel like a douche who clearly doesn't 'win' the friend game. JMO.

I just found another game idea when I was cleaning out a box. Purse BINGO, everyone gets their purse and someone calls out items that should be in there, like a pen, the first person to show it/get it out wins. As the game continues the items get more obscure (sewing kit) and the prizes get better.
