I bought some beef short ribs today and I want to cook them in the crock pot. All the recipes I've found say to sear them first and I know this is the best way. I just really don't feel like searing beef at 6:00 am tomorrow (or 10:00 tonight for that matter). Can I just throw them in the crock pot along with all the other ingredients without searing first? Will it still be delicious? The cook in me cringes at this, but searing meat at 6:00 am is not appealing to me in the least.
