I have a cooking question

I bought some beef short ribs today and I want to cook them in the crock pot. All the recipes I've found say to sear them first and I know this is the best way.  I just really don't feel like searing beef at 6:00 am tomorrow (or 10:00 tonight for that matter). Can I just throw them in the crock pot along with all the other ingredients without searing first?  Will it still be delicious?  The cook in me cringes at this, but searing meat at 6:00 am is not appealing to me in the least.

The last time I did beef ribs in the crock pot I didn't sear them first and they turned out fine - so I'd say go for it!

I've done both ways and really can't tell the difference. Feel free to skip the sear!

I skipped the searing last time and they were good! I cooked mine in the slow cooker initially, then the oven, then the BBQ to finish.
