DH and I are moving this weekend, on our anniversary, actually. I am looking for boxes that have dividers in them for glasses. Anyone know where I can get boxes like that or at least where I can get the insert? I've looked at Home Depot and nada!
I hate moving. We are renting a condo and after showing it for 2 years someone finally bought it. We are actually renting this week from the new owner! We are temporarily moving from Redmond to Edmonds. I'm hoping it's not for too long because the commute to Redmond for work will kill me once school starts! Ick!
Head to any store that sells wine! I saw a bunch at Total Wine and More in Bellevue, but most stores have them with dividers for wine bottles and they will give them to you free.
Good luck with your move! You're a good sport, I would be pretty stabby if I have to move on my anniversary

Duh! Genius! Why didn't I think of these ideas! I remember getting boxes from TJ's last time we moved. They had those divider things in them. Ohhh! You ladies are amazing! DH and I are punch drunk and quoting stupid movies. Actually he is playing video games and I'm on here. We are going to celebrate our anniversary the next weekend. Trying to figure out where to go for a hotel stay that is not super spendy!
Omg, I'd be annoyed about showing it for so long!!
Wine box does sound like a great suggestion!
I was annoyed! I feel bad for the guy though. He lost a lot of money on it. He originally had it listed for $289k and as far as we know it sold for $165K. It was listed as a short sale. He also owned another place so this place was seen as an investment so he paid higher taxes on it. He had 2 people walk away from it after they put offers down because they got sick of waiting for the bank and all that stuff. He wanted us to buy it but we want more than 2 bedrooms especially if we are starting a family. We definitely got to deal with some crappy real estate agents.
how far into living there did you know you would have to be showing the house? i'd be super annoyed, as a renter, to have to make sure the house is in showing-condition, and to be out of the house, etc.... you got *nothing* out of making the house presentable, and instead, you got kicked out..
sorry, but that just bugs me for you. you don't seem bitter about it at all, so i'll be bitter for you. grrr...
