Had to have my stupid, underperforming gallbladder removed yesterday due to a round of pancreatitis last month. They wanted to have me be in my second trimester first.
The only tricky part was that the doppler didn't do a blasted thing to pick up the baby's heartbeat! Both times (before and after surgery) they had to really work to find the heartbeat. And after surgery they had to use an ultrasound! Baby is fine, but I keep saying its grounded until its 30 for being so difficult :-)
Hopefully now I can relax a bit and enjoy the rest of this pregnancy!

so i'm just curious, what kind of prescribed pain meds can you take since you're pregnant? i had my gallbladder removed and it was pretty painful after, but i had an extreme case.

They actually sent me home with Norco, but I've been able to more or less manage with Tylenol and ice packs. Hope baby likes it cold :-)
