Here is a little PSA, don't watch 'Love and other impossible pursuits' while pregnant. I cried, and then I cried some more. That movie should come with a warning.
I think I may be having contractions....I hope this is it because I am over work. I don't want to leave work until I know this is the real thing because I don't want to use any of my leave time unless necessary. This is very uncomfortable though.
TGIF! I have no plans this weekend and so excited for it.
The babies seem to think 5 am = happy hour. Last night H FINALLY felt them kick. Usually when he puts his hand on my stomach they stop. I've noticed this past week that kicks have been all day and more intense. I also can sometimes tell which one is kicking. Last night I was feeling my belly after dinner and could feel their butts too.
Ditto linz, their kicks are definitely getting stronger! I'm kind of tempted to look into the spinning baby stuff as these kicks to the bladder and cervix are not fun!
I'm looking forward to a relatively low key weekend. I'm going to a BBQ GTG with the Boston ladies then no plans for Sunday.
I had a second breakfast today. The bowl of cereal I had wasn't cutting it, so I ordered biscuits and gravy from a restaurant down the street. It was so good, and I can already tell I'll be hungry by the time lunch rolls around.
We need to start cleaning out rooms this weekend. I told H we needed to clean out the closet, and he was very surprised that the baby will need a whole closet.

Non PGR: I had an all day "personality training" yesterday and I'm still a little drained from it. Too many people expecting to interact all day. I do fine in presentation type meetings, but this was too interactive for this introvert.
PG Related: DH and I will sit for 15-30 minutes every night with his hand on my stomach feeling the baby kick. The look on his face when the baby kicks him is so adorable. I am honestly more excited for him to be a dad than me to be a mom.

Second breakfast is my favorite. I have a bowl of cereal every morning before work, and I make an egg sandwich to eat at work around 9:30 or 10:00. DH jokes that the baby is "baby Baggins" because I am always eating.
That's exciting melsamoony! It seems to be really hard to tell for your first, so I hope it becomes clearer soon. I am really starting to get impatient myself.
I have my childbirth class this weekend, and I'm looking forward to it more than I thought I would. Partly because it's at the hospital I'm delivering at, which I haven't even seen yet.
rachelgreen, zulilly has a Curious George collection today! That's what you're doing for the nursery, right? Or is that someone else? Anyway, might be worth checking out

I think I'm going to have to start bringing something with me. It's only happened the last couple of days, so it's kind of snuck up on me. I wasn't ready for my stomach to be growling by 9, lol.
I'd say so! It's mostly toys and books and stuff, but still might be some fun things to have for baby's shelves or whatever.
Yeah, you just got me in trouble with my wallet The onesie was one I wanted to buy at some point. I like the little newborn cap and book too. I was thinking that I would register for some of the books at Target.
FastHands - the CG mug you bought me is on there, hahaha. That's my favorite mug!
I will add peanut butter, orange juice and Indian food (particularly Sag Paneer) to the list of foods that are heinous to throw up.
Ugh, I ate chana masala last night, which tasted amazing.
I paid for it with 3 hours of miserable heartburn.
We're about to go out for indian with my work group. I really really dislike indian, but it's for my student whose last day is today. Blech. Not excited about the food or the likely resulting heartburn.

We take our maternity pictures this weekend, yay!
Also, our dresser for the baby room came in the mail this week, so we are going to try to put it together tonight. The baby book cases should be in next week. I'm so excited things are coming together.

Blue Moon 6-7 minutes but they aren't very strong at all. Having a hard time timing them at work. I had some last night that went away. Trying not to get my hopes up too much.

We have our first ultrasound today! We're doing it as a precaution because of early spotting but I'm not too concerned anything will be wrong since it was so little and since everything went so well Monday.
And because everything went well, I'm telling my coworkers today! We have a monthly meeting today so it's the perfect time. I'm so nervous though because I work with all women and they get kind of annoyingly obsessive sometimes. There is a girl that used to be in my department that is pregnant and it's all I hear about when she stops in the room. I just don't want to be babied and/or judged (like we will probably find out the sex unlike most of my coworkers). I'm also afraid something will be wrong at the u/s but I know I'm just psyching myself out!
The rug for the nursery finally came yesterday! It is so nice and soft. I love it! Now I can go pick out fabric and finish decorating the room (I was waiting to see the colors of the rug in person first.)
I bought some dates today. I heard a few days ago that eating 6 dates a day can act as a natural nudge toward labour as it helps soften your cervix. And then last night my yoga instructor mentioned it as well. You can start them from 34 weeks so I thought today would be a good day. That along with my red raspberry leaf tea tablets should hopefully help.
