How do I get the multiples board back as a sub board? I know it wasn't very active but I think there are a bunch if new posters who either have twins or are going to have them. Please check in in this thread if you are or will be a parent of twins, triplets, or quads (!!!!).
I would love to have the multiples board back for so many reasons. Mostly so I don't feel so alone in my feelings of being two seconds away from losing my shit multiple times a day.
I need words of encouragement, sympathy, commisery, and words of advice from people in the same boat.
I'm a mom of 4 year old boy/girl twins. I'm 2 seconds from losing my shit every moment of everyday. However, I wouldn't change it for the world! I'd love to get the multiples board up and running again!

I have four year old twin girls. They're getting to play with each other a bit more now. It was a bit rough for awhile but nothing we couldn't handle lol
They get into more mischief together though than my older ds ever did. They conspire against me and all that.
I have 2.5 year old twin girls. They are exhausting and the whining lately drives me up a wall. We're trying to potty train and one is into it and the other one wants nothing to do with it. Isn't a perk of having twins supposed to be that you only have to go through stuff like potty training once?
But they're also hilarious and thoughtful and loving and so smart. It's an amazing experience to be a parent of twins.
I have 5 yr old twin girls. They are a handful but I finally feel like we are in a place where we can enjoy them and not just running around frantically after them. Their bond is amazing to see.

It's crazy. The whining is tough. For real. I underestimated how much little girls could whine Ds was 11 when they were born and he was never a whiner.
What's crazy about my girls , they are on the same schedule for everything , hungry at the same time, thirsty at the same time, etc. which is great in theory because then I'm only prepping stuff once. Well they have to use the toilet at the same damned time too. And we have one bathroom. And that is a pain in the ass. To the point I've debated alternating liquids so I'm not faced with "I have to go , she's taking too long" literally multiple times a day.
Dh has held one over the tub before to pee. He is more patient than I. Well, I'm home all day and so I guess it isn't that he's more patient, it's just I'm on hour 10 by the time he gets home so he isn't closing in on the end of his rope.
I love twins though . Dh wants another set. I told him we are going to need a suitcase full of $ first, then we can talk.

Yeah, I was just telling dh last night that this past week or so they've really begun to play more quietly together and get along more. My part time job as a referee is getting it's hours (happily) cut!
The bond is crazy! Like I knew they'd be close but it is wild.

Great, we only have one bathroom too. I never thought about that. They're on the same schedule for everything, which I think is partly driven by the fact that anything that one of them has the other one wants as well.
The bond is amazing. I have a nephew who is 4.5 months older than the girls and he views himself as one of them but they very clearly do not feel the same way. Not that they're not nice to him or don't play with him, but they gravitate towards each other and pay attention to what their twin is doing before anyone else. Even at daycare they focus more on each other. Which is good in some ways - they both have started biting but they only bite each other.
I would love to bring back the multiples board! I have 7.5 month (5 mo adjusted) old twin boys and alternate between laughing and crying/pulling out my hair all day. Our boys are starting to show their personalities and interact with each other so it's been really fun to watch the "twin" part of twins begin, even thought it usually ends in one of them climbing on the other and the one being squished is screaming and crying It sounds like most of you have older twins, but I can just get prepared for our future!!

haha when my girls were that age they went to a daycare center and they weren't allowed to disclose kids names when there were biting incidents. Well I showed up one day and the director pulled me to the side and said "well DD1 bite someone twice today and you know I can't say names. DD2 got bit twice today."
My boys turned 2 in April but were 2 months early. They are constant nonstop balls of energy who we are attempting to sleep train again which has been awful. They are each other's worst enemy and best friend. They are adorable and hilarious and draining . They have very different personalities but more calm jack tends to try to keep up with crazy Henry so it's never calm.
Tagging @sno&2peas and @jnoelle and breanniejulez (I think) mypalbabsninjabridemom if she re- activated. I know I'm forgetting someone. Feel free to tag whoever you know.
Hi fryjack2! I too am bummed that the multiples board was nixed. Then again, I am part of the problem because I've barely been on any of the boards since my own twins were born almost 8 months ago.
If you'd like to stay in touch, feel free to PM me. Maybe we could find another way to stay in touch.
Also, WHERE DID NINJABRIDEMOM GO? She's not allowed to deactivate! She was my first twin mom friend! I'm so bummed! Does anyone stay in touch with her?

My b/g are 7.5 months. When is their birthday? Mine were born on Dec 30th.
Mine are also just starting to interact. It's mostly fun, but yeah - there is also a lot of rolling on top of one another, scratching, pinching, etc. As I type, though, they are both playing independently on the floor and they have their little legs entangled. They also hold hands while they nurse and it melts my heart.
Hi! Long time creepy lurker here. I have a 4 year old DD and almost 7 month old twin boys. I was on hospital bed rest for two months whereby they were born at exactly 33 weeks. It has been a huge change but as they are getting older it is getting slightly easier and just take everything day to day.

I was a nanny for twins. Even though the family had 3 bathrooms only one was accessible from the main floor. During PTing then got one of these potty and one of these potty seat so they could both pee at once. You could also try buying 2 pottys if you think there will be fighting ( we had to aternate who used what)

I have no horse in this race, but I was going to suggest that maybe the Multiples board could be a sub-board of MMM, if the admins don't want it on the main list.

I'm lurking from another board, but I miss having an active multiples board. My fraternal girls are about to turn four. I also had a biter who only bit her sister. :-)
My b/g twins are doing well! My only trouble is that they share a room and stay up playing and refuse to go to sleep. They have also been bad and smearing poop on the walls lately.... My house sure is fun from 8:30 on!

Hi!! I just saw this. My ID girls are 2.5 years old. They are so much fun MOST of the time, and the rest of the time they're trying to kill each other or flailing on the floor screaming bloody murder.
Our challenge of the moment is that one has decided that she is done with naps. The other still very much needs a nap but won't nap if sister isn't napping so she has started falling asleep in her high chair at dinner.
We haven't even really started potty training yet and I'm terrified.

My boys were born Christmas morning, so 5 days older than yours. I'm jealous you can nurse yours at the same time! When mine were younger I was able to and they held hands once or twice, but they have figured out a bottle is a lot faster than nursing. Lol. So I nurse them when they are extra sleepy or have bonked their head and they need a little more comfort. Hopefully we can get a board going, it would be nice to have some support from other twin moms. No one in my life can relate to the struggles or the awesome parts!

Your twins are a lot older than mine, but mine have to share a room too and it is kind of making sleep training (and sleep period, I guess) impossible. There isn't much sleep happening in the Narwhal house either, particularly tonight since it's 1:30 am and the 4th wake up. Haha.

I'm a major newcomer to this board but just saw this so thought I'd respond. My twins are close in age to both of yours, I have b/g twins who were born Dec 6 so they are approaching 8.5 months. It's a pretty fun age, I'm definitely enjoying it a ton more than when they were 3 months and younger! I'm also a little nervous because I'm sure there is sooooo much chaos to come as they get older but I try to take it one day at a time! Do you ladies stay at home with yours?
