If you have kids of the same sex, did you hand down u dies or start fresh? I just found a bag of dd1's first undies and we hope to start PT dd2 soon. TIA!
I just threw away all of DD1's outgrown underwear. Like someone else said, it's a big deal for LO to pick out their own, and most of the designs on DD1's old ones were faded/not looking great anymore.

My dd actually used " boy undies" because she liked the characters and they fit her much better. She's mostly phased them out at nearly 5, so I'll use them for ds. She's proud to hand them doen
I'll save them for DS2. I will only keep the ones in good condition and will probably buy a few more new pairs as incentive. DS1 grew out of the size 2/3 undies pretty quickly so I have a bunch that were barely worn and he rarely had poop accidents.
Reuse. My kids haven't seemed to enjoy picking out the characters on their underwear as much as some others we know. If it was a big deal to them we'd probably buy new ones.

I don't have kids of the same sex, but I hand DD's outgrown undies to a friend with a younger daughter. They get outgrown before they get worn out. It's no weirder than people who reuse cloth diapers between kids.

I reused some from DS1 to DS2. They were in good condition and had trucks and those kind of graphics (as opposed to specific characters) so DS2 was happy.

DS2 isn't quite at PT age yet. Probably within the next 6 months or so. I will definitely reuse. They boys are only 20 months apart and we have 12573747 pairs of size 2T undies since the first week of potty training we went through many many pairs a day.
DD1 and DD2 wear the same size undies. I just toss them in a drawer in their room so they share. Is that gross? I never really thought about it before this thread.

I plan to hand them down from DD1 to DD2.
I did toss some hand me down undies that a friend gave me for DD1, though.
Also, I'm UBER jealous of those of you that say you just tossed underwear after poop accidents. I would have had to throw away 2 to 3 pairs of underwear per DAY for 2 MONTHS if I'd done that. DD1 took SO LONG to poop train.
My girls are twins, so I plan on having them share. I'm going to hand down their blueberry trainers to my cousin once we are done because those are $$. Once the girls outgrow their undies I'll toss them.

We started fresh between DD1 and DD2, but DD2 and DD3 are so close in age/size that they share one underwear drawer. It's not worth the time and effort to sort them. They're clean and they're family. No problem with sharing.

I only have one kid and won't have anymore but she has used her friends' clean underwear a couple of times when she had an accident and has loaned her undies as well. Never really crossed my mind that people think that is weird. She did not get to pick out her own undies because very few of them were small enough when she PT but they were new and pretty colors and she was happy when she got them. Now 2 years later she is still in the same undies and probably will be for a while. If I had another kid I would use them if they were still in half way decent shape. Wouldn't bother me in the slightest.
