I grew up in the boondocks where people abandon their pets in the ditches near my house on the regular. We found homes for at least 5-6 kitties while I was growing up as my mom's limit was 3-5 cats at once.
First cat was Nimbus. Second and third were littermates and they are/were Samson and Delilah. Fourth cat is Maximus. I currently still have Delilah and Maximus.
Lilly, Sneaky and Hagrid (though nicknames are abound), such as Princess, Bathroom Cat (sneaky LOVES to visit us in the bathroom, Dopey, PIAC (pain in the ass cat) Sir Dopey.

Bunny lady here, but came by cause I have a few names that friends/family had named their cats I thought were cute.
One person I knew had two: a big orange cat named Fish and a siamese named Sushi One named her female cat "Mauly" (play on Molly) Another stuck with Cat, and I loved it, because it fit her.
Good Luck! Naming is hard, I think I've only named one of my bunnies, all the others were adopted and came with one, or Mom/Dad/Husband came up with their name.
I have had so many. As an adult I have/ have had: Lizard (aka grandma cat) Danger Kitty (RIP) Turbo Cat Wichita Alexandria Caterpillar Lugnut Hubcap And Hoot. My favorite because he looks like a fluffy owl. Childhood cats: kitty-kitty, Esmeralda, skunk, blackey-caramel (she was black and brown, duh!) Lizard and Lugnut, Hoot, in photos.
I didn't know there was a book! She got her name because we were told she was a boy and my kids named her Super Kitty. When we took her to the vet and found out he was really a she they put Princess on the front of the name thinking she would "like it better" because it was girly.

Oh, it's a book. My kid loves it. It's about a kid dressing up to be ALL the thingz!
