I've been lurking for the last few months while H and I got things squared away to TTC (mostly talking things through to make sure we're on the same page). Finally H is ready! <) I've been ready to TTC for 2 years but since we had time I didn't rush him.
H is 29 and I'm 28. We've been married just over 5 years. We saw my neuro (I have epilepsy). So now we know what steps to take on the medication front if/when I get pregnant.
My question is: do I need to see a Dr before I get pregnant? Like a regular obgyn? My yearly appt isn't until December so I'll go then regardless.
Welcome! Unless you're having current reproductive health issues I wouldn't make any special appointments. Just make sure you're taking daily prenatals and you should be fine.
Since you have your annual appointment in December I wouldn't make a special TTC appointment now. My midwife and I talked at my annual this year when I told her I'd be TTC before my next appointment. She went ahead and did a few blood draws/STD tests that the practice likes to do before TTC but I don't think that's the normal procedure for everyone.
