what size i.e. 1 cttw do you think is perfect for every day. I'm a SAHM but I like to dress up every now and then. Looking for ideas for anniversary gift *-)
The ones I wear are exactly like this picture, same size and style. They are flat like the Tiffany Diamonds by the Yard. I like them because I can leave them in all the time and they are comfortable and easy to care for.
My real ones are 1 carat tw. Then this board had a thread like this and I got a complex about needing bigger diamond studs. So now I'm wearing fake 2 carat tw studs until I can afford to upgrade. I think this is the perfect size. But before this board I thought 1 carat tw was the perfect size, so this board ends up costing me a lot of money. Ha.

DH got me 1 cttw studs for the first birthday we were together, and i think they're perfect for everyday wear. they sparkle something fierce but aren't huge or anything, so they don't look weird with jeans and a tee, or with a cute dress.
eventually i want to upgrade my e-ring, get a bigger center stone and use the center stone now as one side stone and get another for that, so the current sidestones will become a pair of emerald cut studs.

I love those. Do you have a link to them?
Try this link. They come in various metals and sizes:
I have 1 carat but never, ever wear them because they hurt to sleep in and take forever to unscrew. So I end wearing my CZ versions. Those are two carat and no one can tell. Really. If you don't want them for sentiment or to pass down to children someday, I say….get a nice pair of CZ earrings and buy yourself a mack daddy watch.
I have 2cttw princess cut H got me this year. (I wish they were round and not screwback, but I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth)
I think they're the perfect size.
Why don't you like the screwback? One of mine just took a trip through the garbage disposal (the rock survived) and I need to have them reset. I was thinking about screwbacks this time. Will I regret that?

You didn't ask me, but my jeweler said not to do screwback. My old pair were screwback, and I thought they were best. When I upgraded a year ago he recommended the new kind that you just push past a notch on the post. They lock into place. I was skeptical, but have not had an issue.
I have 2 piercings in my earlobes, and usually wear .25 ct diamonds in the back piercing (so .5cttw). I think they're a bit small to wear solo, but they're great with hoops or pearl studs.
Another vote for NO screwbacks. They are a pain to get on an off, the posts are longer so they are not comfortable. In a rush I mis-threaded one and I thought we were going to need a blow torch to get it off! lol
I had they reset with traditional posts and some special gold and silcone backs that my jeweler carries, they are the best invention ever!

I don't like them because I find them harder to get on in the morning and TBH I've never had an issue with any other pair of earrings more. I drop them all the time putting them on and taking them off. Plus H screwed them on his shirt once (I was in the hospital and he had to take my jewelry home with him) and he lost it. I wear my smaller non-screw backs more often because they're more convenient and I've never had an issue.

Thanks for all of the replies, ladies! I went on to BlueNile and some local jewelers. I am still trying to decide between 1 ct and a little over. Thanks for all of your input SB
Mine are 1 cttw with screw backs and they work well for me ... But I rarely take them off so the fact that they're a pita to get off is a non-issue because I so rarely do. If you change earrings a lot I wouldn't get them.
