Also I love actual logic puzzles, but if the answer is El Paso I'm with lasagnasshole that the grammar issue is bugging me and knocks this into the NOT ACTUALLY LOGICAL puzzle category. I guess "L passed O" kinda still sounds like El Paso, but still.
Given that "a c/ow" = have a cow, I don't think grammar is a focus in these brain teasers.
If no one has been able to answer it in years and the teacher doesn't have the answer then WHY is it still being asked??
This reminds me of the time in 5th grade when we had a ridiculous worksheet in our weekly packet that no one could figure out*. My friends and I decided to just rip I out of our packet and act like it had never been there in the first place, and got about half the class to do the same. I was a total goody two shoes, so when mine was missing and I swore I had no idea what she was talking about, she believed us and we got away with it.
*One of our friends who didn't rip out the paper had asked for help on it from our teacher, wasn't really given good direction, and still couldn't figure it out. I'm pretty sure she and the others who didn't rip the page out didn't complete it, so it ended up being not being counted for anyone.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
What a disappointment. I spent an hour trying to find that answer. This reeks of someone who got done with the "real work" early and just handed out filler without looking at it. I did that once. Still haven't found the answer to the worksheet to this day.

I used to LOVE these as a kid - I NEVER would have gotten El Paso but thanks for bumping it to today - I missed this thread when it was originally posted.
